Small space, watch out for it getting overcrowded! Looks like multiple plants in one pot? That's risky, usually one dominates and the others wither away. As well as that there's three others in their own pots? Once they get about a foot tall I think you'll struggle for space.

Also, might be a trick of the camera but those pots look both (a) shallow and (b ) half filled. These plants seem to like depth more than girth in the root systems. If you're planning on keeping them small and using the pots as a way to keep them spaced out, fair enough, otherwise you're missing maybe 1-2 gallons of soil per pot. Depending how it goes, next time you might try a slightly smaller pot that you can fill deeper.

They all look pretty healthy. Is there a reason for using distilled water in your soil grow? Unless it's especially nasty out of the tap it's probably not worth the bother.

  5. Yeah l think I'm going to go all 5g plastic sacks and give them room...
Kangaroos were giving to me from a friend.
Is it too late to transplant my the thresome ?
Figured the soil level would be good for keeping them all under control (less roots) ?
How many girls total do u think I can keep without overcrowding ?

    Too hot ?

  7. Temp-wise, low-mid 80s are OK. Beware that temps for the greenery at the top of your plants might not be the same temp of your sensor in the corner.

You are sort of right about the roots, in my experience when they get limited space they start to bonsai themselves a bit, throw out much smaller leaves than when they have a lot of root space. It should be alright. But those ones in the same pot, you might be able to scoop them out as long as they haven't got too tangled.

In my opinion you've got space for 2 flowering plants, or maybe 4 small autos in a little sog. But that said I've crammed more plants in a small-space and it's possible, it gets a bit messy but it's good experience.

  8. good rule of thumb is hold your hand over the top of the plants. If you can't keep your hand there then the bulbs are to close. If you skin burns then you def know the plant is burning

  9. Thnks appreciate the feedback... will watch the temps...
Sensor is inside the tent for temp, should I hang underneath lamp ?
Going to transplant everything to separate sacks tomorrow...
    Hopefully see a Little growth..

  10. With the sensor, I don't have a perfect solution. You could stand it on the soil next to one of the plants, that would give a reasonable idea. It's just a headsup that a sensor on the floor, especially near a vent in the corner, next to a damp fabric pot, wont give you a very good indication of the ambient temperature for your plants.

The thing to do is first establish that the temps are reasonable and don't spike without you realising. Once you check your temps a few times when you expect it to be hottest and you know it's okay, you just want to keep an eye for any changes. Then if you make any changes to your setup you can know it's too hot before your plants tell you, or know a new fan is actually helping, whatever.

I'm not sure if any of these are autos, of they are autos then don't transplant them just ride them out. Otherwise, good luck! If they have a growing tip and a root they can survive.

  11. Yeah all Autos except for 4 ladies in the group... didn't expect all to germinate so well straight in soil...
    Thnks for the feedback

  12. Try having the sensor for thermometer around the height of the plants, that way your reading will be the temps the plants are getting.B

    first auto grow

  13. Yeah.. I have the sensor between to small solo cups pointing up towards the lights at plant level...
Will post picks and updates since a few days ago... thnks

  14. I use an indoor/outdoor thermometer, and I lay the lead on top of the buds, or hang at the same level under the light, just to keep an eye on the hotest spot, and the display I hang in the middle of the wall (out of direct light) for an average room temp. It helps to determine a good light level. I hope this helps
