Can a raw Filter rolled to tight catch thc?

  1. I've heard in the past that ciggerate filters catch thc, I tend to roll my raw filters very tight and there is usually only one or two little holes for air flow and the smoke to come in my mouth, does this mean I could be losing thc too?

  2. No I don't believe it keeps thc from you. If anything it will just clog up if its rolled too tight. As long as smoke is getting through....

  3. I don't use filters of any kind. I just sort of pack the ganja a bit wi a dabbing tool. Works well enough. as far as filter s catching thc or the other good stuff in ganja, sure it does. It just isn't very much. Look how good filter cigs are for ya lol.

  4. Would be interesting to know the exact amount you're losing. I bet cig filters filter out alot of thc. Jus a guess like i said wish there was a study for this.

  5. I can't say too much about "THC" being caught by the filter, but if you take it out after smoking the joint and unroll it, you usually end up with a darker-ooey-gooey-sticky filter tip. Of course that could be a result of other "combustible" reactions as you light the bud.
A really cool hippie-girl at a smoke shop sold me on some "raw" filter tips, that looked like cigarette tips, were "organic" and supposedly had a seed in them. So, when you throw it out it will "plant" and grow a flower of some sort. I thought it was neat so I grabbed a pack, but I was not a fan of how it made the joint pull much harder. I also doubt any of those seeds will ever sprout lol.

Heck I would have been fooled by the Hippie Girl ...

But I love those RAW tips ... the small brown ones that you roll and put into the end of the joint ... Those are great for keeping your lips from getting covered with nasty tar ... I actually save them and reuse at least two times ... I do not think they take out the THC ... I think if anything you have gotten a lot of THC to be thinking the filters act like that ... I don't roll that tight but just enough for a small amount of air to pass. Heck I get stoned every time.

At 32 years old I can say I have the cough of an old person who has smoked packs of tobacco products. Not meant to be said against those products but just in example ...

  7. a piece of cardboard is very different from those cigarette filters. If I'm not mistaken, those filters were designed to catch very specific particles in the smoke, while a folded up piece of cardboard is, well, it's just cardboard.
