Tried goat for first time

  1. Picked up some goat from the local supermarket today (imported from Australia)

I liked it. Its like Lamb. Almost exactly like Lamb.

Little less fatty, little more gamey, little tougher. I actually like it better.

Glad you liked it, I ate goat a lot as a child with our family meals. Still love it to this day. Growing up, I was amazed to find out how many people in the States who haven't tried it.

  4. What did you make it with? I wouldn't mind trying it.

  5. I ate it plain. I boiled it and just ate it straight

  6. Eww. Just my preference, I suppose. Better than a cow at least. Their milk is the fire

  7. My aunt raises goats, and i've had goat sausage before at her table, but never just like a straight up goat steak or something.

Goat sausage is fckin delicious though.

  8. I like goat.
Its closer to mutton than lamb.
Its not really an eat as a steak type meat, but most cuts slow cook nicely. Any recipie you can find for mutton will go well for goat with fairly similar cooking times.
It curries very well, iv got a recipe for goat curry in a jamacan/caribean cook book ive got and its some good shit.

  11. I often choose Goat if I'm getting an Indian, it's a bit more interesting than the other meats.

    Hate chicken

  12. I'll eat anything you can beat to death with a stick and it's considered legal as long as you eat the thing..... But hey, I'm a Republican.
