Ok so long story short, I spilled my seed pod and have 6 strains mixed up. At this point I have 3 that are the same age ( 2 still in veg, 1 is 2 weeks into flower), 1 is a seedling and 1 is still a seed and one did not germ. I have a plant count in my state so it will be about 2 weeks before I start the last seed. The strains are as follows: Zameldelica Girl Scout Cookies Blue Dream Haze Tangerine Dream Buddha Tahoe Og Kush Blackwater The mystery seeds will be labeled M1-5(only 5 since 1 seed is a dud) M1 about 7 weeks in M2 about 7 weeks in 5 in veg 2 in flower M3 about 7 weeks in M4 1 week in
M1: Second fastest veg of the 3 I started 7 weeks ago. I SCROG so it's hard to get the size in a pic so I'm focusing on the leaf characteristics for now.
M2 This one had the most vigorous growth of the first three, but it was rather small when it went into the flowering tent. I only had a small portion of screen available so it was a good fit. Only now it has tripled in size 15 days from the flip and not a tuft that looks like a bud yet can be found. The leaves are large and fairly broad. The tops are huge compared to anything I've grown lately. This is only a small part of the plant and the flower in the top left is another strain.
I didn't think I would be able identify anything until they were finished but I believe I've identified one already. After a full 3 weeks in flower the M2 labeled plant hasn't developed any flowers at all. I can barely see the beginnings starting to appear but nothing definite. This leads me to say that it will be a long flowering plant. The growth has been explosive since the flip and it has more than quadrupled in size. The Zamaldelica strain Is a 12 week strain with growth characteristics that match my M2. I will keep this in mind as I go forward but I think I got this one. M2
This seedling is starting with some of the broadest leaves I've seen on a plant that size. This is labeled M4. I'm only a few days from moving one of the others into flower and starting my last seed.
No way to tell bro. Grow them out and you might be able to get some sort of idea from strain info about the smells and taste, might give you a clue to what's what. Sent from my XT1028 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Agreed, however I'm pretty certain the one plant is Zamaldelica. I cannot imagine any other strain that I started with flowering like that. I think I will identify all of them by the time they are dried and sampled. The strain are all unique with known characteristics. If nothing else it should be a fun ride.
No strain is completly stable. Most have multiple pheno types. Sent from my XT1028 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Here's where I would disagree. Every strain I have ever grown has held to certain known traits across phenos. I have never grown a super skunk that smelled and tasted sweet. Neither has a blueberry been grown that was skunky. Also it's not like these are just random plants guessing from thousands of strains. Between the sativas and indicas and leaning hybrids, combined with smells and tastes of sweet, skunky and citrusy, I will identify these 5.
You haven't but it happens bro. Kind of like how certain phenos of grand daddy purp aren't purple. Just because it hasn't happened for you yet, doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I believe it's seedfinder that describes some of the known phenos of each strain Sent from my XT1028 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Beautiful looking SCROG! I am just getting back into growing and am trying that method as well. Doubt I will grow any other way.
Thanks for the kind words. I never had such yields as when I started to scrog. Once they finish I get a field like this:
I'm now calling this one Zamaldelica. This was a small plant when I put it into flower. It was supposed to fill a small portion of the screen between two Superskunk girls. It should've taken about 1/4 the surface area of either one of the Superskunk, but she is a beast! I had to cut my screen and move them into my new room that was almost ready. I can see why they say to put this strain into flower as soon as it roots. My last seed is now in water waiting to germinate. I will also be moving my two larger ones into flower as soon as I have some room. My M4 label is leaning heavily to the indica side as you can see. Very stout, broad leaves. This will be a helpful clue possibly as we go along.
M2 (zamaldelica) at 5 weeks into flower. 5 weeks into flower and I barely have little balls of flower. Both my M1 and M3 are in the new flower room. The above is M1. A little pale compared to the other strains but a full canopy. The M3 is dark green and looking healthy. Hard to tell in the HPS though.
The m2 looks very much how most my cookie crosses have been Sent from my SM-G920T using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Did they have a very long flower time? These are 5 weeks in and still have a long way to go. They are on course for 12+ weeks of flowering.
I can see your cookies. I got cookies too not that hard to tell Sent from my SM-N920T using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Which one? The M2? Cause it has ripened a ton over the last week and a half. Took 3 weeks to start to flower but is moving along rapidly now. Thanks for the input.
