Platinum is a poor copy of Advanced which is itself marginal. Platinum and Mars are about the same level, much better Cree and vero COB lights easily available. Garbage in, garbage out!
I've never use these personally, but it's a B grade light (at least) from what I've read on the forums. Don't skimp on your lighting, especially if you're planning on going with LEDs. The really good ones are going to put a hole in your wallet, but you'll only have to buy them once. TWW
