Please Help me with my dream...

  1. [IMG]Since i came Back Home From Vancouver, i missed The taste of weed so much.
years of hesitation thinking of actually setup up one closet to start indoor growing.now i am ready to start, and have read some basic knowledge about indoor growing. but i still have a lot to ask.
Thanks In front For any helping.
    here comes questions:
    1. how Much actual wattage is needed In a 3'length*3' depth*6'height grow tent. (at least?W better having?W)
    2. how Many plants should i put In there? stain as 'white widow'. If i want them to be 2~3foot height at The Time when i can harvest.
    3. according to the wattage that you are recommending, how many weeks is One Full cycle takes approximately. If i want to harvest at 2'~3' height with 18/6 veg &12/12 bloom.
4.Please recommend a type of light source with the size of grow tent i have. MH veg& Hps bloom? Full Spectrum LED? CFL? you don't have to concern about the expense of the hardware too Much, but, Please concern both the efficiency and the result. iJust don't want to get the attention of neither law enforcement nor My yapping wife.
    5. the heat. If i use tradition HID with ventilate through the fixture(something like The casing of The reflector & bulb has A 6 inch pipe hole both side, so u can setup a inside fan with It). how Much distance should i keep My plant from Lights.

English is Not my first language. so pardon me for my wordy and lack of precised descriptions.
    Just too thirst for directions.

  3. Get on the "new grower" threads here on the forum. There are several threads there specifically written for new inexperienced growers as well as threads discussing lighting, grow room design and setup, etc. Do some reading and research on your own and then if there are questions, you can come back and ask them. If you can afford it, a good quality LED is your best bet. They don't put off the heat that hid and hps do and produce some excellent quality buds. Don't buy the cheap ones though. They are just that...cheap, and aren't worth the time and effort. Put as much effort into learning the correct way to grow these plants as you do in designing the setup and lighting. It is a process and there are some basics that everybody needs to know before getting started. But everything you need to know is already logged there for you to read. Good luck! TWW

  4. thank you for pointing me a sesion that i needed the most. After canstant learning these day,and i wanna go with LED like "platinum P450" (with actual 255Watts, says equal to 600W HID) in my 3.3'*3.3'*6.6' space with two plants.

  5. 1. Depends on the lights you choose. See below. For LEDs it really depends on the one you choose but something in the 200-300 watt range for the primary light and 25-50 for the sides would probably work. For HIDs go with a 400, but cooling will be an issue. Again, see below.

    2. 3x3 is fairly small. If you want optimal growth you probably want to stick with around 3 plants, so they have room to bush out a bit and so light can penetrate. Also see below.
    3. It really doesn't depend as much on wattage as it does the plant's life cycle. You're probably looking at around 8 weeks of vegetative growth and 8-10 weeks of flowering depending upon the strain and conditions.
    4. Personally I would go with full spectrum LED on the top and sides OR an HID on the top and LEDs on the sides. Side lighting is often overlooked and makes a big difference in yield. I am still a big fan of HIDs but see below re: heat. If you go HID then yes, Metal Halide during the vegetative phase then switch over to High Pressure Sodium.
    5. Heat will be a major problem in a small space. Thankfully it's tall so there is that, and an exhaust up high will help mitigate it. HIDs will create a lot more heat than LEDs but I still think that HIDs give better results ultimately, albeit less efficiently from a power usage and heat standpoint.

  6. oh man, thanks for your detailed guidelines of each of my questions.
iv reward lot info i need from it.
    --300W prim led (P450--https://platinumgrowlights.com/products) + 39W(SYLVANIA- T5HO-GRO-LUX)each side @first grow. (HID i wanna try it next.)
    --3pot at most (WHITE WIDOW)
    --8weeks veg 10weeks flowering(most strain i like says 8-10flowering period)
--take side light build up seriously
--and darn it, my grage doesnt have any heat source, and it is whiter now @ -4°C ~2°C outside.
    THANKS A LOT AGAIN.

  7. Honestly growing weed is easy. Most of the time people give it too mu b tender love and care but it is a weed and you could practically break it in half and still get growth. For something difficult try growing gormet mushrooms. That is very difficult.

  8. You r right about that, for newbie like me, always wanna do all kinds of preparations before even started. see Pix below...
we scare ourselve just a bit much. I failed once outdoor, that plant was so big and even 1' taller than me, the leaves turned all yellow one sudden for no reason. it was Sep.2014... That was a sad autumn.

  9. what de hell, why cant i upload pictures from my local computer?? Only web links available??

It's fairly easy to grow, yes. However, stressing plants out or poor growing practices greatly reduce yield and can hold a higher risk of hermies.
