Best butane for refilling torch?

Discussion in 'Concentrate Tools' started by TLeafB, Jan 24, 2016.

  1. What is the best kind of butane to use to refill my torch, and where can I get it?
I bought my first hand-held butane torch, and need to refill it. I use it to heat my Ti Nail. I've heard Vector and Whipit are pretty good, but I just want to use something that is atleast 3x refined to eliminate issues with my torch down the road. I was told lower quality fuel will cause sputtering, and issues with igniting.

  2. I believe most the problems you mentioned are from a cheap torch, not cheap tane, I could be wrong though. I use Power 5x refined in my torch mainly because of price point and availability.

  3. I use London because that's what 711 sells, and when I use anything cheeper (Ronson, Nibo, Power 5x ect) then the flame will self extinguish sometimes.

  4. Thanks for the replies guys, I actually went to my local smoke shop and got a bottle of Newport Zero Butane (300ml), and my torch works incredible! Great flame, no sputtering, and I still have enough for a few more refills. Glad I didn't go with the Ronson junk.
