You said you have another LED on the way.. which light is it? Also.. What's your area size? I run 4 led in a 3x3 tent with no heat problems.. tent gets to 81 max with fan on medium. 3 led are the 5x60 type and the other is my first led it is 3x100. thanks for the follow, I'll stick around for this one too
oops just noticed there was more than 1 page..this phone is weird lol. Anyways its looking great in the tent though you could maybe use those cfls because those are going to beef up in flower. Never enough light
My setup is 2 300w led panels (inexpensive on the 'Bay) with true watt ratings of 148 a piece. I've got 4 ladies in a 3'x3' tent. These ladies are two weeks into the 12/12 flip. Temps range between 75F and 81F with a fan blowing up towards the lights.
I'm not sure. I purchased them off of the 'Bay for about 75 USD a piece. Not sure how long they will last but so far so good. If you're talking about me..I just use 5x150watt 2700k CFL bulbs plus 6x23watt 3000k. Then on the bottom I have 3x28watt sunblaster Full spectrum fluorescent 6400k, and 1x48watt sunblaster full spectrum fluorescent 6400k.
75$? I get some cheap 150w lights for 10$. But I recommend you get a kill-a-watt meter to see what watts your getting. You can get a good one for 5-10$ online. My expensive 40$ 125w CFL ran at 90w! And my cheap 10$ 150w light ran at 110! Not everything is legitimate especially with eBay. I suggest everyone do this for CFLs.
very true. these lights are technically 300w (3w x 100pcs), but their true watts are closer to 148. watts are only part of the equation, and I have seen a big difference between the ambient cfls and the leds. thanks for your input! Very
problem is CFLs are SUPPOSED to be legit. the 150w is a 400w equivalent. its not supposed to be 110, shoulda be 150. some CFLs are legit unlike LEDs which are never legit. (maybe legit is the wrong word but you get what im saying) i was extremely pissed when i realized i was running only like 3/4 to 4/5 of the wattage claimed on the box and store.
Good points all around. The leds run cooler than cfls. In my arrangement, these two led panels are cooler than my cfl setup. And two panels provide more than enough for my ladies.
