Cancer Need Help for CBD and Breast Cancer

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by drugfree53, Jan 24, 2016.

  1. I have been diagnosed with breast cancer. I am not a good candidate for chemotherapy due to other health risks -- family history of heart disease -- I am interested is trying a low THC CBD or CBDA product to reduce the likelihood of recurrence. The cancer is localized and has not spread. I am sensitive to THC. I need advice. What to buy, how to buy, where to buy, how to use.
    Thanks.

  2. If you're looking to grow the CBD crew have just released a strain called "CBD Therapy" Its very low THC with a high percentage of CBD. I hope this helps and good luck!

  3. You really want THC if you're trying to fight cancer, CBD doesnt attack cancerous cells like THC does. Good luck!

  4. I really know nothing about growing CBD and doubt I could do so successfully. The problem I have with THC is heart palpitations which are severe enough for me to have given up marijuana many years ago. That's why I was hoping to find something low in THC but high in CBD. The research I have read indicates you do need both for best results, but at this point I need some advice. I am 63 years old. And the heart risks involved with chemo are unacceptable given the risks in my family. Likewise, the heart palpitations are serious. So I am at a loss.

  5. I'm sorry to hear that you have breast cancer and are going through this.

Personally, I would start with Granny's list

You can find some MJ strain specific info here https://forum.grasscity.com/medical-marijuana-usag...

Many people make tinctures, edibles, topical salves, and other things that you may benefit from.

These are just a few...you can search a topic, and find a lot of information.

If you live in a medical state, or somewhere that cannabis is legal, you should have no problem getting a medical card. They can assist you with the process of getting what you need in some states, directing you to a dispensary, or other provider.

Since you suffer from heart palpitations and have a family history of other heart risks, you may want to stick with topical oils and salves, like Rick Simpson oil.

There's also the option of trying vaporizing an indica strain of MJ, if you're willing to try it again. Indica's are more relaxing, they make some people sleepy. Sativas are more 'up', energetic, and some people have said that it makes them feel like their heart is racing. Everyone is different, so it's hard to say how something will affect you. The way that something affected you years ago, may not have the same affect now.

Best of luck to you! *sending tons of positive, healing vibes your way*
