iPower DE lights

  1. I'm moving into a new space and I'm thinking of getting double ended lights for my new garden. I've been looking at the iPower and Powermaxx lights, which are relatively new and cost about 35% less than Gavitas. There aren't a lot of reviews out there yet since they are fairly new. My new space is about 8x10 with a sloped ceiling from 9' on one side down to about 5 1/2' on the other. So I'm wondering if I have enough ceiling height to make it work or if I should stick with my 1000w single ended cool tubes? If I hang two lights in the middle of the room they will be about 7-71/2' from the floor, minus 1' for the lights themselves, 2' for the distance to the tops of the plants, and 1 1/2' for the pots leaves 3' for the plants. Is that enough space for these double ended lights or should I use 4 of the 1000w single ended cool tubes, which I already have? 4000w is probably overkill for an 8x10 room but I can dim them to 75% if it's too much.
    Thoughts or suggestions?

  2. Only GAVITA,USHIO,PHILIPS and Genesis DE are real 2100μmol/s, other brand with cheap price just made with street light HPS burner, only approx 1800μmol/s even less.

  3. Thanks for the reply, Dennis. I appreciate the info but can you please explain the difference between those numbers and what they represent? Would the cheaper DE lights be any better or worse than a regular single ended bulb?

Gavita explained clearly on PAR (μmol/s)
Cheaper DE just using same burner as single ended which contain half red light 660nm than real DE burner, currently only Nanolux single ended(SEDE) using real DE burner can get 2100μmol/s .

  5. thank you. I think I'm just going to stick with my cheap single enders for now, my ceiling height is too low for DE lights I think.
