  1. My whole life I have hated politics because I didn't think there was a way out of the corruption, but now all of a sudden Bernie Sanders has handed us a path.
We ALL must help him in ANY way we can!
Going to Starbucks to spend over 5 bucks on a coffee? Make a pot at home and give Sanders the few bucks you saved.
Going to have a beer at a restaurant? Save the few bucks, have a can of beer at your house, and give Sanders the few bucks you saved.
Its the age of the internet people, its not that hard. You don't have to stamp and mail a letter or some shit..
    HELP HIM
    Please.

  2. Oh you tender young thing. You're about to get torn apart.

    Bernie2016!!!

  3. So this is what they meant by drinking the koolaid.

  4. Hahaha! I literally just spit tea on my phone!

As to the OP, I wouldn't give Bernie a cent of I were a millionaire.

  5. Change my lifestyle to give an old fuck my money?

    Lol
    Ok

  6. But you have to give to Bernie to get from Bernie. You give him your coffee money and he will steal tens of thousands from other people to give back to you. It's like a Ponzi scheme, er, investment. Get it?

  7. Bernie would be no different than Hillary would, Trump would, Bush or Obama have been.

Do ye still honestly believe that any of the puppets they wave in front of ye have a different hand shoved up their arse?

  8. Nobody will enforce any actual change in America. IMO the presidential debate mostly comes down to damage control, and who will do the least.

  9. Yip. That and the fact that those with actual power don't want change.

Why change something that keeps you rich. More wars please.

The serfs can have abortion, guns, gays and immigrants to argue over.

  10. 100% this. Last line in particular. Civilians fighting and arguing amongst each other makes things a lot easier for the powerful lot to keep things the same.

  11. Yeah with idiotic mindsets like that, I may very well....

  12. Thats the only fucking reason I am supporting Bernie in the first place, because any rational person can easily recognize that he is the only choice we have had in foreseeable history that is running specifically on the platform that he is NOT a corporate puppet..

It used to be that way due to every politician being owned by corporations. Bernie is our path out of this fucking mess, and it could easily be the only chance we get.

  13. Exactly, Why change things when it makes you rich? That WHY the political system has been broken for so long, and now we finally have a choice of someone who Isn't working for the benefit of the people "who want to stay rich". He is running on a platform specific Against them, and that very issue you stated.

    Thats the whole fucking point...

  14. Psh!

I hope if he gets elected that it is you saying "I told you", but history is on my side. I hope you are still on GC when that time comes.

Again I'll say, if a candidate is talking about ending the federal reserve, the won't have my support.

History has to change at some point, and I just assume have it now rather than later.

Thats the thing people fail to realize I think. All of these changes that are happening, are just physically, factually, inevitable.

Universal health care, free college, marijuana legalization, campaign finance reform, more socialism less capitalism.

It is EVENTUALLY GOING to happen, its just a simple logical fact. No society stays the same way it is forever.. Society, like humans beings in general change CONSTANTLY
Why in the fuck would you negatively impact millions of peoples lives trying to slam the breaks of progress? Because you are scared? I don't give a shit about your fear .
Just let progress go where it naturally should and let all of the idiots who don't understand socialism be proven wrong when they see america climbing back up the ladder of success with all the other modern, industrialized nations on the planet.

  16. As much as I support Bernie I have reasonable expectation for what he can do. The president has very little control over budget fights and congress will still be a mess even if Bernie wins. The biggest obstacle against the progressive base is that they don't show up for midterm elections. People thought that Obama would drive high midterm voter turnout but they were mostly wrong and it probably won't be dramatically different if a Sanders victory happened.

On top of that the Dems have been killed in state elections, where the GOP has poured a ton of money into. However important money is to federal elections it's a thousand times more important in state elections where no one has ever heard of the candidates. I think it's something like 95 percent of candidates with more money win the elections at those levels. Well the Dems have focused solely on federal elections the GOP has smartly poured tons of money into state elections and currently dominate governorships and state legislatures.

This allows them to rewrite many congressional districts to their advantages and because of Gerry mandering it's very unlikely the Dems will retake the house for a very long time even with high voter turnout. So as much I understand your excitement for Bernie you have to keep it in perspective. There's certain things that Bernie can reasonably do that I'm a big fan of including talking about the ridiculously bloated military budget and not being as much of a slave to the military industrial complex. He's also the least likely to drag us into another costly war for cheap political points like basically all the other candidates. On top of that he can be a great mouthpiece for important things like criminal justice reform, campaign finance laws, and is most likely to elect judges that will reverse horrible SCOTUS rulings which will most likely need a couple replacements during his presidency. Bernies definitely my favorite candidate as well but I think you should realize that he's not going to be able to fix a lot of the problems that aile the system because they are institutional problems. It's hard to get congressman to agree to stop taking bribes when they are the ones who benefit so much from them. It's going to take a long time and more public pressure to achieve what Bernie wants but I think down the line it's possible to happen.
