  1. they make lotions for that..

  2. For the record, I am 100% in favor of NASA.

  3. Its hilarious that you think any sort of tax goes to other people. We're trillion upon trillions in debt, any money taken from people goes to pay for that. Anything extra is just printed, or created digitally.

Now is theft being committed? You can say that, and I'd agree. Hell I just worked 18 hours overtime and pretty much only got paid 100 bucks extra because the goverment taxes me ridiculously on time and half. Mind you my time and a half is 15.75 an hour...

I think that I'd rather money be given to people than say big banks or corporations. Now, that's not to say that is what you are suggesting. I know your political philosophies generally. But if its 2008, and the government has the choice to either help my grandma pay for her house, or give that money to her bank and have them hound my grandmother for her debt, I choose the former every time.

Ultimately I'd rather just hit reset. But given what would happen, death, destruction, chaos, more corruption, I'd rather get paid. Helps my situation out tremendously, and Its not like I don't work hard. I mean ain't the system failing anyways? I figure it will implode on itself before the end of my lifetime.

  4. I understand that all taxes only go to a small percentage of the interest owed on the debt but taxes are still theft and any increase in spending, no matter what they go to, is just leveraging more debt onto the pile which our future generations will have to deal with. That is not ok.

  5. I think NASA should be a truly public entity, and should be funded based on it's efficiency and merit.

Should my money be stolen to fund them? No.

  6. Beat me to it. I was just about to post that link. Anything the government does, including space research and technology, can be done far better and more efficiently in the private sector. So yes, NASA should be abolished.

  7. Ehhh. I don't think NASA should be abolished, but I also don't think they should have the monopoly on space travel in the US.

  8. Yet, NASA has also developed many products for everyday use.
What would the costs be from private companies or would the products ever have seen the light of day?
You can easily piggy back on NASA research and Development for commercial uses.

  9. I felt like I should be standing up reading that brother.
    Amen.

I would differ with you on one thing though and I know this from previous discussion. To quote a man close to my heart...

"Freedom will not come from talking, it will come from down the barrel of a gun."
I felt like I should be standing up reading that brother.

    A fucking men.

The matrix decided to post that twice.
I think it's trying to communicate with us.

  11. Well considering products can be sold, why wouldn't a private company be willing to sell things?

  12. If they can turn a profit, you bet your hiney they would.

  13. I guess my point wasn't well made. NASA has provided a lot of research that allowed private companies to profit very well.
It is doubtful that many (any?) private companies would have conducted many of the experiments, probes, satellites, etc. that NASA did/does. The early research had no promise of any return on investment except from a scientific stand point.

  14. I'm not sure if you can make that argument. While I'm in favor of NASA, and understand we wouldn't be anywhere in the space exploration field without them. Thanks to budget cuts to NASA, private companies like SpaceX have come out on top.

Just because government did it first doesn't mean they can do it best.

  15. Amen.

The US government has a monopoly on space travel and discovery. The US government has even intervened in Space.

They have proudly put the flag of the US government on the Moon and occupied it by trying to maintain a presence there by leaving shit behind with the US government flag splashed all over it in a type of

"We were here first alien fucker."

They have by monopolizing space travel controlled it. And don't give me any of that guff about discoveries, people discover stuff not governments. Private individuals would have started looking at the sky and wondering. Who knows?

Now this isn't a rant at the people of America, I have come to realize from discussions with my oppressed American brothers that a lot of your brothers and sisters have given up, no fight left in them.

Never give up, don't give up buying guns either. Your going to need them.

The Irish were occupied and oppressed but never give up. 800 dark years we waited, granted a lot of them were what are known as the drinking years.
But eventually we went on the dry and hey presto we drove the bastard British back across the sea.

Still took 800yrs though. The US is give or take a couple of hundred years old.

Ye will be free in the year 2500 and something.

  16. Amen brother! I'm sure the American government would stake clams to the moon and the whole damn planet of Mars and impose is laws and regulations and taxes there too if humans ever colonize it.

As for me, I'll be the old dog lying on the porch snapping at anyone who walks past smelling of goverment until my dying day.
Though I still don't like the Irish government anymore than any other I do tip my hat to all the IRA lads that butchered those British bastards. Cheers!

  17. that's mostly because NASA was jumping the gun.

We went to space before we had the appropriate technology to make it profitable.

Our war with Russia was the main reason. We wanted to make sure they didn't get weapons into orbit.

We've been looking to space for a long time. Once private enterprise learned how much asteroid mining is worth, and space tourism, it would be done. Already has

  18. They have by monopolizing space travel controlled it.
It is hard to believe that when other Countries have been free to do their own explorations and develop their own satellites.
Not to mention the space station and private enterprises deciding to take on space too.
    .
    The U.S. has made no claim to ownership of the moon.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><br style='font: 13px/16px "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); text-transform: none; text-indent: 0px; letter-spacing: normal; word-spacing: 0px; white-space: normal; widows: 1; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;'>The Outer Space Treaty, which was signed in 1967, had precluded such a claim.

  20. Irish government are a shower of turn coat Bastards. I have no truck with those Bastards. I love the way the word Bastards auto pops on this relic of a phone. Anyway the Bastards are as bad as yere Bastards only our Bastards have to live among us.

They need to go the same pubs and restaurants as we do. They're afraid of us more, no Washington DC to hide in.

When I look up at the moon it sickens my shit, all Anarchists should shoot or spit at the moon when they can. Bastards have the moon.

The moon is dead to me.
