Time to chop? At 8 wks on this here Rainbow KUSH

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by littlebittaweed, Jan 17, 2016.

  1. Hello! Trying to figure out if my rainbow KUsh is ready for the almighty chop. I am not looking for deep couch lock but don't want to mistakenly harvest super early again and end up with weak bud. Thoughts?[IMG][IMG][IMG]

  2. Bump. Ready or wait a bit longer??

I honestly think she has at least 5 days left. I would keep pushing her, but keep a close eye on her.
That being said each grower is different and looks for different things. The earlier you chop
the more clear headed and cerebral your high is going to be, the later you push her, the more sedative the effect.
She looks nice though man, keep up the good work!

  4. Thanks! Waiting is always the hardest part. I'll give it a little more time and keep a close eye on her for any more evidence that she might be ready.

  5. Alot of clear in there. Let her go a bit. Looks good man whats the deal on that rainbow

  6. You can always give it a few more days and then cut the lights for a good 48hrs.

    Ignore this post

  8. These were all taken last night. I have such a bad eye for this--or maybe I need a better loupe...[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

  9. It DOES look like there's more cloudly trichs in last night's photos and fewer clears, don't you think? Maybe even a few starting to turn amber??

I live in a legal state so if this one turns out a little too cerebral, I could always go buy some nice GDP or something, or try again. I'd much prefer this train turn out happy and euphoric than couch-locky.

  10. Another day has gone by. Looking ready yet or still got time??? [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

  11. I would say it looks cloudy with a little bit of amber ? Might be wrong .

    Thanks MrGreen

I'm getting super anxious about this one. Don't know why. I just want it over with! Moving soon and new house has space for a 10' x 6' room + outdoor space, so this one little plant under a 400 in a raggedy hole-filled tent with DIY equipment seems less critical in the grand scheme of things. Still I want to get it right and not have it be a disappointment after 100+ days of growing !!

  13. Looks beautiful man. Wish I could try some of it! Lol

Thanks!! The colors are unreal.... I've never grown anything as vibrant and as colorful as this. Not sure it lives up to the name "rainbow" but those purples are so deep and it really is nice to look at. It sort of looks like the buds were dipped in port wine or something. The original breeder definitely knew what they were doing!

  15. I'd say it's a very vibrant color. It's an awesome looking bud, let me know how it tastes!

So the calyx trichomes are the ones we need to be judging by?
