small usage during detox

  1. been a heavy smoker for last 8 years, with a few detoxes due to drug tests for work. i know it takes longer to pass a drug test if you're a heavy smoker, so i cut down to 1 hoot a day in order to hopfuly lower the required time it would take to completely cleanse my system of any THC when i decide to completely quit. so my question being, is that theory completely out to lunch or will my toxin levels slowly come down to match my new intake level?

    thanks

  2. You're clearly battling temptation, by the sounds of it. Unless you can find something else that can fill the void that weed fills in you - you're always going to crave smoking weed.

There's nothing wrong with smoking weed, of course.. and quitting can be kinda over-rated and unnecessarily dramatic. But if it's getting in the way of your happiness - then it's obviously defeating its original purpose. Weed should be making people happy, not the opposite. Otherwise you're just wasting your hard earned money on dried plant material.

If you're doing this for a drug test, you should be ceasing to smoke COMPLETELY. After 6 months of non-usage, you should be completely clean.

  3. yes. your tolerance will lower with reduced usage.

Hi Quitter. I see what you're saying about reducing the amount you toke with the hopes that this will decrease the amount of time to get fully cleansed when you completely quit, but I don't think that matters if you're toking everyday. If you're going to cut down while continuing to smoke, seems like you'd want to take a few days break between tokes. Seems that this would give your body a better chance of expelling toxins since you're not adding new toxins every day.

And it looks like you understand that you'll have to stop completely to completely cleanse your system.
