Would (12) 42 watt CFLs Be Too Much For These Dimensions?

  1. I have a grow box with the dimensions being:
    H 5'
    W 2'6"
    D 1'7"

I have two seedlings inside, with (2) 42 watts on total. (One per plant).

I know the general rule is 150 watts for the first and 50 watts for each additional plant. But I want some really nice bushy plants so I intended to use as much as I can.

Would (12) 42 watts be too much for this size grow box and for just two plants?
If so what would be the sufficient amount of lighting?
    I don't want the minimum!

  2. The amount of heat is also considered?

  3. Heat isn't an issue in my case I don't leave my door closed.

  4. The 42 watt cfl's work good,. 20 would be better than 12.. Run them 1.5" away and keep a good airflow going ... :)
