This will be my first grow. I would appreciate any advice you guys have [IMG]

I have 5 Cookies Kush seeds from Barney's Farm

First I will list everything I have.

Bought power strips and extension cords from Walmart.
Also used a few zip ties.

For watering I will be using the filtered water from my RO water filter.

  2. Didn't start this from the beginning because of time but I germinated the seeds for about 2 days in wet paper towels.
I planted them on 12-31-2015 in 5 gallon root pouches. New Years Resolution? Never buy weed again :)

They sprouted on 1-2-2016 and have been growing pretty well since.

So far I've had a few concerns with the heat, humidity, and possible nitrogen burn because the Fox Farm soil is supposed to be high in nutrients.

I'm curious if anyone has considered using one of these:

But instead of using frozen milk jugs full of water to cool the air, use dried ice. Anyone think that would be a cool idea? lol
I think added CO2 would maybe help a bit, but I might just be getting a little too ambitious for being a noob.

Here's a picture of all the plants individually.
    Most of them look good.
One has a little bit of discoloration and it kind of looks like the leaf tips are curling a bit :/
Another one also has bent up leaves :/

    What do you think?

This is what the temperature usually hangs around.
Before I had the exhaust vent fan going it was getting up to 90+ degrees

  8. I was distracted by your pic but yes I think your thoughts are spot on

  9. Accept the co2 . I wouldn't fuck with that till you got some more experience but if you can do it .

  10. Looking great I'm subbed now. I'm using LED as well. Some mars and some WELPAR Chinese brand

  13. Thanks Guys. Do you think the ice bucket is still a good idea? My tent is about 88 right now. I also don't have a good way to ventilate it :/

You can veg and bud with those temperatures. I'd say your better off just getting a stronger fan and doing your best to keep it dry during flower. Either by getting a stronger exauhst or having fresh cool air from outside. Keeping a window open in the same room as your tent will sap out most excess moisture if you live in a dry climate. That said 88 degrees won't ruin your crop unless it's really moist and mold becomes prevalent

  15. Idk about the ice bucket but I think you could shut down one of them light for now and push them plants together . One light will give you enough coverages and you won't have as much heat
Maybe this will buy you some time . You should be able to get away with one light while you figure out a permanent solution .

  16. I recommend buying a high CFM fan and pulling the air out of the tent. It can lower your temps significantly. A nice 4-6" inline fan would be enough I'm sure to bring temps down to 70-75 and also the air movement will keep your humidity down a bit too. Just way cheaper than running an AC lol

  17. Dry ice is a bit pricy for boosting the c02 content of the room and it's not controllable.. You want a specific PPM ( parts per million) if your going that route.. Very advanced grow stuff and I'd save my dry ice money for after harvest to make kief with
As usual the sight of some fingernail polish brings out the horn dogs in the balcony crowd.. LMAO no offence guys but I'm glad I'm old and less affected..
    See above..
I see gus has your heat issue under control..

Before you try the ice bucket challenge, I'd personally invest in a couple of these clip on fans and clip them to your tent rails on the sides if you have room and extra electrical outlets. I think this would help circulate air better and probably drop it down a few degrees. 85° and below is acceptable, but not ideal. I use a hurricane fan with a transformer as a fan controller and it works great, but it'll run you about $200 for that pair.

Also, you can open up some ventilation ports on your tent during the lights on schedule if needed, or open a window to outside if possible. During night times I'd recommend putting a bedsheet over your apollo tent because they are known to have small light leaks (mine does). Better safe than hermie!

I used Fox Farm Happy Frog potting soil for my current grow. It's different than Ocean Forest, but FF soil in general is known to be nutrient rich/hot for seedlings. Even though FF comes with perlite, it is still wise to mix it with a good bit of perlite and/or vermiculite to allow more oxygen to roots, better drainage and not so many nutrients. I didn't add liquid nutrients until about 3-4 weeks from using FF soil, and it was a very small amount of nutrients. I did this for my entire grow so far and have not had to deal with hardly any nutrient burn issues.

  19. These look great. This setup is awesome.
