How come edibles are so unpredictable?

I tried edibles about 6 months ago and nothing happened. I got the chance to do it again today so I took it as an opportunity. Me and my friend split a (very potent) brownie.

We both ate half around 7pm. (He has a small tolerance and I have none due to a recent t-break) We both had the same breakfast and lunch and started at the same time. After 20 minutes he said he was blasting off to the moon while I still felt nothing.
He left around 9pm and after 2 hour of waiting and feeling nothing I thought it just wasn't going to work.

It is now 11pm and all of a sudden I feel this huge rush of being high (like a huge bong rip kinda rush) 4 hours after ingesting… and the feeling keeps coming in waves even as I'm typing this. Why does this happen?

I also want to add that I have an extremely high metabolism… I thought that was kind of ironic

  2. Everyone responds differently and our digestive systems are very unpredictable.

  3. Like coffee - I swear I have never ever had a coffee buzz. They say extroverts have a less caffeine jolt then introverts. Everyone is different.

Humans are like rainbows - we 're all different. [IMG]

  4. I can't figure it out either. Must have to do with digestion, metabolism, etc.

  5. Dosage of edibles and individuals tolerance to the substance
