Quartz vs ti

Depends onthe quity of the nail and the size dab you are trying to take off of it

 

I hear quartz is better, though I wasn't given an explanation.


I will add that my Ti nail is forming a black residue at the bottom, and looks flaky.

 

All ti gets that black residue. The black residue is fine really. It's from your oil. Of course the better the oil the less residue. Quartz does it too, only it turns to a white ash. If you do low temp dabs and q-tip it after, it wont even get that though. On a banger i lose less smoke than your normal domeless ti nail. Much less. Giant globs that fill the bucket are gonna splatter out of course still though. But to answer your question, you can lose some smoke if your globbin, but it loses less than your typical ti domeless nail. Plus it tastes quite a bit better, and theres no risk of titanium oxide.

 

so is there a benefit to the banger over the domeless quartz?

 

Faster to heat up (use less butane), safer, cheaper, no brainer.

 

I wouldn't say cheaper. Quality quartz is more expensive than any ti nail i have seen. Quave banger 160-180, toro grail 180, dc banger 150, pukinbeagle beagle starts at over 200, halen starts at 100 and goes up to 160

 

anyone try quartz queen?


I ordered a banger off their site for 25 bucks, until I can justify the $160 for the quave...
