This will be my 3rd grow. the first two went alright. i forget the name of the first strain but the second was barneys farm vanilla kush. must have got a good ten oz from the same equipment so this time obviously i want more. 15 oz and i'll be happy. no massive probs with the last grows other than some botrytis or something at the end of flowering and while curing. the smokes were ok but in my previous grows i havent had that stank that u expect from your bud, to me thats the sign of a good bit of green so i'm desperate to get it right but really dont know why it doesnt smell po.

so the grow will happen in my 90 x 90 x 180 tent. The seeds are germinated in rockwool in a propagator with a 250 cfl on 24 hours. I got 5 Big Buddha Blue Cheese in there which i chose purely for the finished products smell and smoke.

Once the first true set of leaves appears then they will be going straight in the wilma 4 pot system (recirculating drip system), most likely in clay pebbles and vegged under 400w mh and flowered under 400 hps. The stakes for the wilma system wernt very good at keeping lots of the pebbles saturated so i might look at getting some of the halo drip rings that spread water better and also a dehumidifier for night times and a air cooled reflector as well some small cfl bulbs for additional light in flowering.

  3. Ill join up. I veg under 400w mh as well. Only diff. is once my ladies reach flower they get 2x 600w hps to soak up :D
    Heres to improving yields!

  4. Good luck man! Can't wait to see how this turns out :D Are you going to be scrogging them? Or using any form of training?

  5. Nice. The more light the better if the plants can soak it! I'm def looking at extra fe flowerig. What space do you grow in and how many plants?

  6. Cheers mate. Ye scrogging have me a nice even canopy when I did it before so must have meant more light to the bud sites so I'll def do it again. Might also top or fim

  7. 4x10x8 usually i fit around 12 plants depending on their size. Im working hard to get a better more uniform cycle going. Just been experimenting with too many diff. strains. Need to find my keeper.

  8. Theyre all keepers. Nice big space for all that light and heat. My tent would be way too hot

I had probs before with temp and humidity so bought a Icarus large air cooled hood. Hooked it up to the carbon filter n its looking pimp. Only cost £45!! Hopefully it does a job too.

Today is the 5th day and, consistent with my previous grows, the seeds have germinated and the little cotyledons (embryonic leaves) are poking out the rockwool. 100% success all 5 are on the way!! Can't recommend rock wool enough for germinating. I'm thinkin about doing a rock wool only grow cos it seems like the perfect hydro medium

Roots were poking out the rockwool cubes so i moved the little girls out of the propagator and into the hydro system. Ph'd the water. 1/4 strength nutes. Had a bit of old coco coir knocking about about plus some out of date coco nutes so I potted up the 5th with that under the cfl i used for propagating. hopefully it grows and can be a mother for cuttings. They're still tiny so can barely see them in the hydro pic

The system is a wilma 4 pot. I added 4 extra drip stakes and a stronger pump. Not gonna bother with getting the halo drip rings. I read partial root zone drying shouldn't affect yields in most crops so if it happens it should be ok.

  13. I find that when using a 600w MH will keep your seedlings low to the surface, shorty and stocky. I put my germinated seeds into their rockwool cubes in a flood tray that feeds every 3 hours for 2 minutes, under the MH and this is how my seedlings turn out before I transplant them into the hydro system.

The plants are looking good to me. They've got 5 pointed leaves so far so the 4th node is coming and I'll be attempting to fim them all soon.

The air cooled hood has really helped. The temp has stayed about 25c and the humidity is about 50%

Had some little bugs in the coco, I think they're called springtails. Nothing to worry about I think

  15. Set up some fittings for some cfls. Chucked a couple of 20 watts in for now till I get some better ones

  16. Comparison between the coco and clay pebbles. The clay pebble plants are branching from the nodes a lot sooner than the coco plant

  17. Got 2 125w 2700k cfls delivered to replace the crappy 20w. Wasn't expecting them to be so big

Everything's been going too smooth. Will be switching to flower soon but I'm desperate to find a cheap way of keeping my humidity down at night beforehand

  19. Looking great man, happy plants. Though you're going to be really pressed for space if you wait any longer to flower. You wont have to worry about humidity becoming a problem until mid-late flower (when bud has developed for bud rot or mildew to occur on). High humidity around 70% allows the plant to uptake more CO2 though creates the perfect environment for fungi to thrive in. I have an air purifier with UV running all the time, and I periodically spray the floors and wipe the walls down with peroxide. I have a dehumidifier to keep it at around 65-70%, otherwise my plants respirate so much that my walls become drenched in condensation. But definitely flower soon, or they will be crowding each other. Take my Incredible Bulk for an extreme example of how it more than tippled in mass in 3 weeks of flowering.
