ego out of control, very negative and constrictive

Discussion in 'Religion, Beliefs and Spirituality' started by mklem, Jan 3, 2016.

  1. When the ego has drained your spirit and seperates you from yourself is it ever too late to reclaim your sense of self?

  2. It can be damaging, however... what Norse said ^^^

Also, when you make progress with yourself, generally your highs get higher and more common. On the contrary your lows sink deeper.

  3. That's why we are told to meditate and focus on compassion and love because these are the highest vibrational frequency's and they will naturally uplift you to where you need to be.

Its never too late. Trust me and believe.
Mediation helps remove doubt and once doubt is removed anything can be healed and restored.

  4. Never too late.

    Always now.

You can only be you. Everything is grace.

  5. Yes. However, I would argue doubt is an integral part of it...you need to doubt EVERYTHING to attain truth. They are contradictory but part of the same coin. Go strong, there's tons of good resources out there to lift yourself up, Ultimately it's in your own mind whatever it is that you are struggling with. You're never alone on that.

  6. No. Look at Shaq O Neil. It's too late for him. Another one is Tom Petty. Both are a waste of human flesh. One cannot be stopped from standing under a basketball net for a dunk, and the other plays guitar. Whoopie do.

  7. it's all relative and subjective.

    who are we

  8. Not looking for a debate, just an observation to discuss.

How can something be relative and subjective. To be relative don't you need an objective reference point?

  9. a sense of self is subjective, and relative to each individual.

what is normal for the spider, is chaos for the fly

  10. To me, relative includes both subjective and objective. I try to use relative in place of both of them unless someone is already discussing what is subjective or objective. It's like a relative PoV is an objective look of an individual at a subjective concept.

  11. Is the sense of self a subjective assessment of an objective truth? Meaning, we are an objective something, but since we don't know what all factors into what the self is, our view is subjective?

I'm done, I won't derail the thread any further.

  12. "Alluding more specifically to human beings, there are two kinds of evil-doing: one caused by ordinary weakness in character; and the other by deliberate choice, where evil seems a flowery path and the fruits of selfish victory are considered as of larger worth than to walk with the gods. This is the path of the Brothers of the Shadow."

    Choose your destiny wisely.
