Vaping and smoking ganja do not smell the same at all. Smoking is far far FAR stronger. Even a smoking piece smells far stronger then most vapes. My wife never complains when I vape in the house. Smoke a doobie or rip some bong tokes though and she isn't a happy camper. She doesn't care that use ganja at all, she just doesn't like the smell of it. Not fresh and more so when it is burning. When I ask her she says she smells it very faint if I have been vaping. If I vape in the bathroom she can't smell it as long as I blow it into the vent. I made a spoof and it worked like a champ. A vape is straight stealth mode. I vape when I'm shopping, at the movies, walking the dogs, everywhere really and it keeps me on the down low. Definitely worth it's money. The high isn't as intense as compared to smoking ganja. It takes a little while to get used to the high because of it being so different. It feels lighter to me as well.
Vaporizing and smoking are two very different animals, but the end result is the same. Because vaporizing delivers a vapor and not smoke, the smell isn't nearly as offensive and it doesn't linger / travel nearly the same. Someone would be able to notice if you were vaping in the same room, but 10 minutes later it is doubtful anyone would notice. Where as smoking a joint would garner the attention of everyone in the room and the next room for hours. Don't totally agree with the statement that vaporizing doesn't get you as high. From the research I have read you actually end up absorbing more THC. Partially because it isn't destroyed during combustion, you end up getting more stoned on the same amount of dope. The high itself can be different though, generally creeping up on you. It does feel 'lighter' as well, less pressure on your chest after a sesh. I'm a long-time joint smoker, only recently got into the vaporizing game. I've been lucky enough to be able to test out a number of different vaporizers though. For me personally, nothing will replace the feeling of a fat doob. But if you are toking frequently you may want to invest in a vaporizer for your lungs sake. I am using a PAX 2 and just figured it out. Last night I packed it with medium fine herb and started at heat lvl 1, 2, 3, then 4. The session lasted about 40 minutes and I was fucked up. I did this downstairs while my wife was sleeping upstairs. I had one of those essential oil atomizer things going. She didnt say a thing this morning. She like a previous posters wife doesnt care if I do it but doesnt want to smell it. Mine also doesnt want to see it.
ya gdawggy the vape is easy mode right? Just go and get high with out any hassle from the better half. Love that about my vapes. Even dabbing is far superior as far as keeping it on the downlow. I mostly vape concentrates though. Canadian ent, I vape and smoke ganja. I mostly vape concentrates though. I do have a desktop and portable herbal vapes I still use though. I probably have 6 or 8 other vapes that are functional, were great and worked as advertised. I just never got as bias when I ripped a bong toke. So for me, vaping herb just doesn't pack the punch I am looking for. I am sure it is God for others because I have friends that use them daily. They might hit a doobie on the rare occasion but vaping herb is just their thing. I am thinking of getting one of those ejuice pens. The kind that takes that glycerin based concentrate. My bro came over and let me try one that didn't smell like weed or ganja at all. It smelled of vanilla and cherry and tasted sort of like it too. It got me fucked up. Really, really fucked up. There is no way someone will ever know what you're doing unless you want them too. So for super stealth, that is the way to go!
vaping oil will emit a different scent than vaping flowers. either choice will smell less than smoking.
