Good night i have a couple questions if someone have the time i would apreciate it I have this oil rig and im worried about the heat and damage that the torch can cause to the piece , i use a ceramic domeless nail my question is that the hot flame of the torch and the thermal shoc can break or deform the joint of my bong ? Any of you have had your bong broken like that ? Because i noticed that the glass. Gets pretty hot after dabbing thanks for reading all. Ps:sorry for my english
It depends what type of joint it's sitting on and how close your glass is to the flame/nail. If it's really that close to worry then just be careful. Your bong was made with a torch after all... It won't get hot enough to deform from the nail for sure. It could break from thermal shock, but thats it. Just don't blast the glass with the flame. The heat from the nail is slow enough and theres little enough that you don't have to worry about the heat seeping to your glass. Just the torch flame coming in direct contact with the glass.
