I accidentally banged it recently and the hole in the bottom of the bowl got a little chip out of it. Is it still useable? I got the chip out, but the hole is just bigger than normal now. Should I throw it out or is it still fine?
It should still be fine to use... so long as the hole doesn't get any bigger. Just make sure you use a piece large enough to cover the hole when you smoke out of it.
You could get a screen problem solved but personally I don't like them if you are grinding your weed though it might be your best bet
They make little glass screens for vape pens. Try one of those. They come in all shapes and sizes. Also m ought go to a head shop and look for a small glass(not plastic) and see if you can find one that just fits. You could certainly get a brass screen to work if you were to form it to the shape of the bowl first. Personally thought I would smoke it like it is. Just be aware of it and be sure to let others who use it that it has a hole so they don't suck some lumber down the wrong way lol. Good luck blade!

I hear ya bro. I still have my first pipe from high school. It is one of those solid brass deals that screws together. Before I knew any better and was but a young scrubba I would put a nug in the center chamber thinking that it would get impregnated with resin making it far more potent. Oh how I slap my hand across my forehead at the impressive levels of ignorance and high jackassery I was known for. Ye good old days.......where ignorance truly was bliss. That pipe is far more then a momento it represents a time in my life when I had not yet carried the weight of maturity about my shoulders. I remember my first time getting laid was after smoking and getting super blazed from that pipe. It was my first time smoking white widow too lol. Me and my best bro at the time sat in front of a cop car with cops in it and didn't know it. Sat there for a good 20 minutes and went back into the bowling alley where we were playing gauntlet with two other friends who didn't partake of the herb. As I walked back I realized I left my lighter and smokes in his car and when I turned around I saw the two cops sitting in their cruiser, not even paying attention to us. Memories like that are why I keep that old brass piece of shit lol. The resin in it has turned into something resembling petrified wood. Kind of rusty looking too.i used it a couple years ago when I had everything in storage and only had that brass pipe. It worked but I had to use it with out a screen because it was nasty as fuck. I jammed some stems in the chamber in the back to catch any big pieces of lumber and still got ash in my mouth. It might have been a mouthful of old resin dust from when I pried that screen out of it heh heh heh... Damn, another novel...happens every time I wake and bake....
I feel you so hard. I still remember the first time I got high, when I was 17, almost 18 lol. My buddy Tom said to me "hey, wanna smoke weed?" one day after school got out one day and me, him and a couple other guys went to this place on the far side of town. As is typical with first times, I didn't really realize I was high at the time, it was only after smoking more and doing specific things while high that I understood the effect. The piece I have I got from this stoner girl named Rhi who I used to fool around with. She's grown up now, dating a different guy now lol, a proper "man" who has a white collar job as an executive in collections (lol). Anyways, I think it starts as just a thing kids do to try to look cool, or just for fun fucking around...but it's only relatively recently that a therapeutic need for weed has actually materialized for life...speaking as an aspiring musician, yet in reality a stressed out, minimum-wage earning dude with 500 dollars to my name. The passage of time is so bittersweet! I'm turning 22 in May...but God, that seems like a lifetime ago
It's still fine as long as you're sure no glass is still in the chamber (I would clean it out before using it again). A metal screen will be this piece's best friend.
