Hey plan on making a homemade ash catcher when I get home in a couple days (just the bowl not a whole bong) and just wanna see something I can go off of that's easy enough to make. Thanks to everybody who posts!
Buy one because nothing you can make will be healthy. DHGate has some for under $10 and they are so much safer if you can't afford a nice one. That being said, if you absolutely can't get one here's how to make one Use a pill bottle. Get some tin foil and wrap it around a pen tube to create a stem. Put a piece of some kind, assuming you have one, in one end of the foil tube. Poke a hole at the top of the pill bottle and insert the foil/socket stem into it. About an inch up from the bottom of the bottle poke another hole and use the empty pen tube from earlier as another stem to drop down and connect it to whatever you're smoking out of.
I just made this one with a pill bottle, a cut up bag, a straw, some toothpicks (just on the outside for support of the straw), a glass bowlpiece, and the bottom half of my metal bowlpiece (I screwed the actual bowl off and plugged the straw into it - it was resiny enough to seal 😂). I'm thinking this is pretty good for homemade. I'll be getting glass in a week or so, so I figured if I vandalise my acrylic a bit it's okay. ~Legal MMJ Patient~
