Yeah I think there is 3 different companies making these but I did a lot of research before buying one and we'll dr.dabber proved to be the more trusted and reliable company. I paid $175 for this one on black Friday but it's normally $199. So far it's totally worth it and I've had great customer service through dr.dabber.com

  4. Just picked one up. Love it. Easy to use. Super portable.

  5. do you feel like it be easy for the glass piece to be removed? Id want to have a custom one made so it wasnt just clear.

  6. Comes right off. Made that way to clean easier.

  7. yeah it comes right off for storage. Dr.dabber has said that they are working on new glass pieces like recyclers and what not

  8. any more reviews on this? that carb cap, its magnetic.. im no scientist, but is that cool with fumes and all?
this looks like an amazing on the go wax solution.

  9. Magnetic means its not ti... and these things can be found on dhgate. The exact same thing. Not a copy. I wouldn't trust this at all. Lol... even when the carb really wont get hot enough to fume i wouldn't trust it at all. Who knows what the rest of it is made out of when the chinese are all proud of their magnetic carb cap.
Dr dabber is a bs company. Look up ds480 on instagram and see all the trouble that poor dude went through with customer service and then finding this piece on dhgate.
Incase you don't know, dhgate is famous for making knockoffs, and crappy chinese products that get marketed as high quality things made in the US. Really, the only thing that happens in the US, is the addition of a label and fancy packaging. These are made in china and marketed here in the US. Since mj still isn't legal here though, good luck proving it other than to yourself and a few others by looking it up on dhgate, or in having any legal rights in getting them them to advertise honestly.
Dhgate is fine if you don't care about the artistic viewpoint of glass, or if you need a minitube for $19 to bring to that concert. Dhgate is not fine for a daily driver, or something where you risk your health like this. Especially like this.
I wouldn't buy something like this knowing where it comes from. Even if i didn't though, you can get a cheap real enail for the same price. The portability factor isn't there but its an enail. I'd still rather use a torch anyway though.

  10. I just looked up ds480 on Instagram and I didn't see anything about dr.dabber but I did see his trouble with the 2 other companies that make these. Also this isn't exactly the same as the ones on dhgate it's the same design but the boost has a ceramic base under the nail not plastic like the others. Dr.dabber claims that the boost is made in the USA but it's hard to believe that when it looks exactly like all the others besides all the cheap plastic. Oh and they say the nail is ti I'm not sure about this but I do know it's not magnetic like the carb cap. So far I haven't had any problems with it or customer service

  11. Watched a review and the dude said Dr Dabber uses grade 4 Ti in its atomizers. Im no genius but I was under the assumption that only grade 2 was safe to vape off of. Granted that was for a vape pen but if they use the wrong grade of Ti on one product who is to say they don't use it in all?

  12. I was really interested when I first heard of the Boost (I have other Dr Dabber products), but as others have mentioned it is available on Chinese websites for a LOT cheaper without the branding. I paid $65 for one of these, it works and is easy to clean. I'm not entirely sure how safe it is but I'm happy to keep using mine. I don't think it's worth paying the extra just for a Dr Dabber logo though,
