I know that smoking would probably win the vote hands-down, that's not the point of the thread.

More like - What have been your experiences with all three consumption methods, assuming you've tried each and every one of them? How do they differ from each other? What did you like? What didn't you like?

I'm currently thinking of whether I should process my future harvest into tinctures/edibles.. or just cure the buds and keep it in jars for smoking.

Then again, because I'm using bagseed genetics - there can only be two outcomes:

    1. Either I get a sinsemilla crop, and all is fine.
    2. My plant goes hermie on me, somewhere around mid-flower.. and I end up with a handful of seeds.

If scenario number 2 were to happen, I would most likely just save the seeds for the next harvest, grind the plant matter, leaves and stems included.. and use it to produce tinctures as well as edibles.

The highest I've ever been was when I first created marijuana milk-chocolate (I thought I was literally going to die) - so I sure as hell won't be disappointed with that one.

But I've also been pretty curious about cannabis tinctures. Maybe I could even dilute them into alcoholic and caffeinated cocktails.. drop some dry ice into it.. create my own signature product... the Cheshire Cat:

The possibilities are endless. Don't you just love science?

  2. yes it is...

I've only done two, smoke and edibles.
    -
I like smoking. it...it... I forget how it feels already. and with edibles it a nicer longer high. but I don't know why, every edible high is just different. even out of the same batch. and maybe its just my current batch but I've noticed that yes you get high but in the fullness there is just that little piece of the puzzle that's missing that smoking out of a pipe gives.
    -
I like them both. smoking is fast, easy, quick, where's edibles take longer both in hitting and prep, and ime can be a hit or miss. and of course higher amounts of herb.

    not much help?

  3. I've done them all but can't really speak for tinctures since I've only had one small bottle of Everclear based tincture back in my teens and can't really remember how high I got. IMO edibles > flowers though, last time I did edibles I made two firecrackers with a gram in each and ate them both at once and got super high. I wouldn't do edibles as an everyday thing though, or perhaps I would? [IMG]

The benefits of edibles and tinctures are that they're more discreet to use and the high lasts longer. Those THC infused drinks look dank, I gotta try them sometime

I wouldn't discount flowers though, the benefits of smoking though is the wonderful taste and smell, and it doesn't take you all the prep work making edibles and you don't have to wait like 45 minutes to start feeling it, getting a spliff ready right now with some Tahoe OG [IMG]

  4. hmm... I guess I'll be pumping out marijuana chocolate, then... and putting aside a small amount of bud to create a single eye-dropper of tinctures.. which I'll then be infusing in blueberry/strawberry-flavoured cocktails. I should actually practice with some of the buds I already have.

Since I already drink while smoking weed at the same time - there's no doubt I'll make the switch, assuming of course that I'll enjoy the high. I don't like the idea of putting foreign substances into my lungs. lol. Get the liver to do the job - that's what it's for.

Sounds like you're really going all out, lol. What was that last part about, you don't like to smoke weed? Actually guess that's obvious, seeing as you talking about making a full switch to drinks and edibles lol

You'd be surprised to find out that with such a high rate of cannabis use as ours - very few people know you can actually eat weed or make extracts. Micro-grows are also virtually unheard of, over here.

I remember when I first saw a grow cabinet, back when I used to live in another suburb. There was a guy who had a tall cabinet, sitting right next to the back-door leading to the backyard. He used to even leave the door open during the summer.. lol.. and his room was messy as fuck. He showed everyone his grow... Everyone. He wanted everyone to know that he was the man of the house. He even found a girlfriend on a dating site. He liked to brag about everything - his cooking skills, his dank weed, his gardening skills, his cat, his alleged ability to beat the shit out of people, etc. He didn't like to be criticized.

However, as it turned out - his plant was infested by spidermites from the very beginning. If only people learned how to make proper use of the internet, instead of just using it to wasting time on Facebook. lol. Also.. his girlfriend left him. The dude even wanted to sell me his lightbulb for $200. Thank god I was too broke at the time - Otherwise, I would have been ripped off. They sold it for half the price on the internet.

Things are very different, nowadays. Nowadays - everyone in the house respects me, and asks me for help, especially with IT-related problems. And I'm the one with the grow cabinet, the only cat in the house, the dank vegetable garden.. as well as the unlimited supply of alcohol. Poetic justice, indeed. Nobody knows about my micro-grow, though.
