How do I infuse honey with bubble hash?

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by Lencho87, Dec 15, 2015.

  1. Whats up guys, Im totally new to making edibles. I work at a dispensary making bubble hash and CO2 oil and I always end up with a lil extra bubble hash after a full days run. I usually just dab the bubble hash but I wanna try at making some bomb edibles. Ive collected about 3 grams, I either want to infuse some honey or coconut oil with it. Any suggestions or recipes you guys can help me out with?

Coconut oil all the way. Honey doesn't have any fat content so there is nothing for the thc and other goodies to bind to although there are still ways of doing it.

I don't make edibles with hash but my go to recipe for flowers is...1 pound butter to one ounce of pot(i like butter better then coconut oil since I am not a fan of the taste of coconut.) If you do some math then you should be able to figure out some accurate dosages.

As for the actual process check out some threads in the edibles section.

I usually clarify butter in slow cooker, add herb, cook for 4 hours(longer the better), stirring often, then strain herb and use butter.

    Tips-
    -look into soy lecithin
-leave herb in butter in fridge for a day or two and strain after
-figure out your process before attempting it
-keep notes on what you do so you can refer back to the next time you try it
-take your time, doing it over a few days would be optimal

  3. Coconut oil is the perfect answer. You could also use glycerine, which is also rather sweet.

  4. Thanx guys. Coconut oil it is. Now can someone help with the dosage por favor. Will 3 grams of hash be too little to infuse anything?

  5. Remember to decarb the hash if you're planning to consume the coconut oil.

BTW, if straight coconut oil is too strong for your recipe (the edible tastes mostly of coconut) you can dilute the coconut oil with palm oil.

I have been told that palm oil is similar to coconut oil in effect, but milder.

  6. Thanx sickmanfraud. How many grams of hash do I add per serving?

  7. If you want a neutral oil grapeseed oil works well too.

  8. I have no idea. I have no access to purchase it.

However, I think I saw somewhere that hash is 4 times as strong as herb.

If you make yourself a tincture you can titrate your dose exactly to where you prefer the effects.

Remember with edibles it is better to start slow than ingest too much.

  9. Forgot to mention, but if I edit the above post it will be garbage. PsychedelicSam's tincture thread just discussed decarbing a coconut oil tincture AFTER it was in the oil. This should preserve some compounds lost to Heat decarbing.

I suggest you ask this question again in PsychedelicSam tincture thread above. It is the stickie called Another Tincture Thread Try it you'll like it.
