First no till indoor grow

  1. Hello GC growers:) So i have grown plenty of plants outside in the no till style and it worked great. I am moving inside for the first time and was wondering if anyone has any tips, what i should look out for etc. I have four 15 gallon pots that i filled with roots organic soil, home made compost. I also added Molasses, blood meal, rock phosphate, gypsum, crustacian meal, azomite, fish bone, kelp, flax, greensand and oyster shell along with some worms. My tea is going to be corn and alfalfa sprouts with kelp meal, crustacian meal and fresh coconut water. I have also been buying mountain spring water in a jug because it has no chlorine in it. Soil is cooking now and closet is being built, 1000 watt in a 52"x64" 8 feet tall. So yea any tips on any problems you think i might encounter would be awesome. Thanks!!!

  2. If I were you....just to make things easier, I would leave the corn and alfalfa sprouts out and let my water bubble for 24 hours instead of buy bottled water.

Since its a new no-till, I would water with malted barley powder/ kelp meal and then the next water, I would use coconut and aloe and then water with clear water. Repeat the cycle until harvest and top dress after chop and mix in a cover crop to help incorporate your topdress. I would topdress with ewc atop a good sprinkling of neem and kelp(I think its a teaspoon per gallon of each. Check around to be sure). Once this dirt has been through a few cycles it wont need as much enzyme support and can probably get by with once a week enzyme tea alternating between the barley combo and coconut. Also I suggest using fulpower and silica for atleast the first few runs.

Oh and your soild doesn't need to cook more than a couple of weeks if amended lightly since you are not using alfalfa meal in you soil.

Another thing I do is premix my ewc and ammendments so they sort of pre cook and I keep my SPM hydrated in a plastic tote.

  3. Its' difficult to gauge just how dense your mix is/will be without knowing the volumes of the materials that you used, but I don't see any extra aeration amendment added. I definitely don't think your seedlings are going to like it, especially if you're planning on germinating them in small pots...

I also would not plan on using any kinds of supplemental "teas" until your plants have at least two to three leaf sets. Maybe kelp, but that's it. Young plants have difficulty absorbing water efficiently when the soil solution is too high in dissolved solids. Dependent on your soil base ratios and the amount of nutrient/mineral amendments you added to the mix, yours has the potential to be very "rich".

  4. Thanks for the tips!! Here are two of my plants, ones a Jilly Bean the other (pic with hand) is jesus ogxfuma con diablos, both day 7. Sorry for the pics, my phone kinda sucks.

  8. looking good Paleo!

btw what are you using for mulch? is that coconut coir?

  9. im using coco and gnat knix for mulch

  10. I have used the coco chips as mulch before and did very well but lately I've been using wood chips from a apple tree that I cut down two summers ago and for some reason my plants and worms love them and they give my plants a very unique cedar/skunk smell that is amazing. The grow looks great man keep up the good work! One thing depending on where you purchased the coco chip is that I use to get tons on fungus gnats if this starts to happen just use some food grade DE this will also give you all the silica you need too. Happy growing my friend.

  11. Day 32 and this being my first indoor grow im not sure if i should put them into flower or wait. I would like around 4 foot tall plants and there between 10-12 inches now... I know outside the got huge like 2 weeks before flower. I dont want to crowd my grow by letting them veg too long but i also dont want wimpy yields.
Again sorry for the crappy pictures

  12. you can expect anywhere between x2 to x4 stretch in flower depending on genetics. sativas will tend to stretch more the indicas.

  13. Day 50, one plant has shown pre sex for male the rest look female but not 100% yet. Dark day tomarow then flower. The frog humidifier made a huge difference in there growth, very dry air here in Colorado. Made a small newb mistake with too much neem oil and burnt a few leaves but they have made full recovery and are very happy.
