Long time smoker never encountered moldy buds before.

    Hi everyone, I hope some of you may be able to shed some light on this for me.
    So I live in the uk (where cannabis is not legal) and I've been smoking cannabis for around 7-8 years and I've honestly never encountered moldy weed from any of the many dealers I've used in that time. But recently I've some what become a little concerned on if I was to of had some moldy buds sold to me. Yesterday I picked up an 1/8 and in all of the years I've smoked I never had any bud smell this strong . It's citrus smell not to be confused with amnesia , this smell was so strong it remindeed me of when I was a child when I had smelled window cleaner or house products being used around the house. I've seen alot of people saying this means mold or something bad. I rolled up a spliff and smoked away paying attention to the feel and taste. It didn't taste good , It didn't taste the same as some homegrown I've had it was worse. I also noticed right away (you won't notice from the pictures) the bud was almost all a light brown and when opened the inner buds were very pale , like all the colour of the bud had been drained out. I tried using a magnifying glass (a crap one) and I couldn't see what I was seeing when I Google'd moldy buds. If anyone can help it would be nice to know what others might think about this, maybe its to do with nutrients either way I'd be greatful if some of you with good growing knowledge could weigh in. I apologise for the my phone camera doesn't like to focus much.

    might be moldy, not sure tho but if it smells like window cleaner id stay away

    I'd leave it alone, also. Sounds like someone added fragrance to the cannabis to make up for it being lousy weed or already used to make bho or something. I've never encountered this problem with anything from my garden. An excess of nutes would cause different problems- I have encountered cannabis that would not burn in a joint. Ended up water curing it as I felt it was an excess of nutes. I couldn't taste it as I couldn't even get a hit off the joint. Anyway, mate- I agree with Epintoch- don't smoke any more.     its just an 1/8th so just say to whoever you got this from that it doesnt look right and why it smells weird and that, he will probably bullshit you but worst case scenario it has had shit sprayed on it to try make it heavy (ive heard of that happening)

    yeah I spoke to the guy and he was like "no way bro its piff(slang for very nice)" the pains of not being able to grow for myself here is getting worse by the bag! thanks again for your input.

    if you can find another dealer then that will be good, if he is going to sell you shit weed then bullshit get him to fuck

    Thing is since it's only dealers which bud here, it's going to be a gamble everytime. I've gotten suspect bud twice now in a month from two different people, I think I should just quit, tough task though. thanks for the support

    well if you really dont want to quit try getting some online, deep web is usefull for that but only visit well known sites and only use well rated vendors, go onto the deep web and only get what you are looking for dont get curious

    Didn't know that was a thing, this happens in the UK? wouldn't know where to look or who to trust, but a good thought non the less. thanks friend

    was easyer when the silk road was up but i think it got took down by fbi a few times and when ordering you risk it getting took by customs, just read up some things about it, alot of the things on it are very very very weird so i would advise for you and your mental health to just go on to it for what you need and nothing else

    its called budrot, it happens occasionly when its grown outdoors. Its a fungus that grows on the tricomes. You can smoke it, you'll only get as high as smoking trim probably. I suggest a water pipe to avoid ihaling spores...

    i don't see any mold. just some good looking bud. it's easy to mistake aggregations of crystals for mold. i've examined buds with super zoomed-in high quality photos when i thought i had moldy bud, but out of a bunch of times i've only had it once, because i left it in a jar for a humid week when i was on a trip.


    check google for comparison pics and really look close and get some good, stable shots of the bud of close with good lighting.

    thanks for your input, my camera is pretty crap( doesnt like to focus weather theres good lighting or not ) since posting I have not touched it since, don't really want to chance it. I had a dream that bud was legal to grow in the uk, it was very nice dream.. then I woke up :(

    thanks for your input, I'm taking the safe side of not smoking anymore and moving on and deleteing the dealer out of my phone.
