Hi all Iv been a fan of GC for years but never joined as I feel i am not qualified to answer any questions people may have, and I haven't grown any meds before now, so I thought I would join the best on line community. I have now decided to grow my own, I am almost at the end of my first grow and need some advice as to when my ladies are ready, I have taken a few trichome pictures. Both strains are from Green House Seeds, on the GHS website it says the Jack Herer & White Widow should be done in 8 weeks, the research I have done states you should not count the first 2 weeks, so I get that to 10 weeks total, 70 days. The ladies have been flushed twice, once to get rid of the left over nutes and I flushed them 2 days ago after feeding them mollasus. When I took the pictures, 1 day ago, I noticed approximately 15-20% of the trichomes had turned red, the rest still milky, so have put them in to darkness for the, hopefully, last few days of their life. I use my meds to ease my colitis and back pain and also to help me sleep. I am just wanting to know what you guys think of their stage, should I have put them in to darkness and if not ready can I re-introduce the lights without any detrimental effect? I use a 60-100 power hand held microscope I got from radio shack a couple of years ago for 15 dollars.. A few snips taken from where the light doesn't reach, inside to the table for a good close look.. I like mine really well done with big brush strokes of amber in a field of cloudy with almost no clear showing.. You can't mistake it as it looks like graffiti on a bus.. Most people like it a bit less done then that but it's all personal choice.. I find if I take it early it's to racy for me and worthless as a sleep aid.. BNW
