Anybody here make music?

Discussion in 'Music genres, Bands and Artists' started by NeXtDimensionBeing, Dec 9, 2015.

  1. I have always had a love for music and the desire to create it. But I don't play any instruments. I want to learn them though. I have rapped for fun, but I'm not very good, and people don't really consider rapping "making music" I guess cause it doesn't take much effort or talent , I disagree, but that's how people feel.

Anyway, just looking to hear some blade's music.... Go ahead and promote! :)

I do. But I'm hearing impaired, have very little musical talent, dance like shit and sing like someone's castrating a goat but I love to make New Age music on my iPad. Sounds good to me, might cause intestinal cramps for others. But I think if I found sound someone who could help piece more of it together it COULD be something. Then I could cut a record. Be a star. Make some mad dough. Buy all my friends here each some great weed and share a bowl with them. Then I could be enlightened and usher in a new age where men and women are equal, money has no relevance, war is only two anthills trying to dominate a dropped Twinkie, everyone has jet packs and we could all just be one....

    Nahhhhh....

I'll just take a few good hits, bang aimlessly on my keyboard, sing and dance like nobody's watching and don't give a shit if anyone is!

  3. Thanks! Like and share if you don't mind

  4. Absolutely. This is my black/thrash metal band and we have been killing it lately. Here is a link to our facebook and one of my favorite tracks from our second album which we released last year.

  5. I've been a musician for most all my life. When I was younger, I played with many bands of different genres and enjoyed the heck out of it. Actually, I met my husband years ago on a gig. LOL My dad started music lessons for me at the ripe old age of 3 and I continued with them until I was about 14 or so. I've picked up several instruments over the years but enjoy the piano and acoustic guitar the most. My husband is a lyricist and an excellent rhythm guitarist. Music sort of makes the world go 'round at our house. LOL Absolutely nothing can take the place of it!! You always get out as much as you put in and it's never too late to learn something new. Just because you don't play anything now doesn't mean you can't learn. I have a piano student right now who is 76 years old and is one of the best I've ever taught. It's never too late to expand the brain and learn something new!! TWW

  6. I've been producing for about 5 years now. Mainly hardstyle and drum & bass. Have been playing guitar since I was 12 although I haven't been playing as much since I've gotten into electronic music.

  7. Right on! How do you go about producing your music? Is it strictly on a digital program, or do you use turntables/mixers?

  8. Basically I use both. Software for Producing/Writing music and CDJs/turntables for DJing and playing tracks live.

The software (I'm using FL Studio) is for composing and writing your own music.

CDJs/Turntables are for DJing. So if I gig at a club, I would burn the tracks I make to CDs as well as music that I've brought and mix them together live and play a set.

  9. I've been using FL studio since probably 2006-2007. Havent been making much of anything lately though

  10. I'm really bad about recording so I barely have anything online. Mostly I just jam out randomly. But here's my setup:
