Should I SCROG?

Discussion in 'Advanced Growing Techniques' started by the closet monster, Dec 6, 2015.

  1. Alright so my girl has been topped and Then her four main colas have been low stress trained.

Today as I move her into flowering, i choked up some more on the four main colas low stress training. I noticed that the middle growth has now become rather tall....

I'm wondering if I should SCROG because of how tall this inside growth has gotten, or if I should just flower it as is with the current low stress training.

Let me know what you think! ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1449425253.509172.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1449425311.233785.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1449425346.818209.jpg

  2. Its ready for a scrogn. Lookn sweet

  3. That is one cool ass lookin' plant. I'd love to be able to have that in my living room as decoration!

If you're worried about height control, than scrog away! It is a bit taller than I'd prefer for scrogging, but me thinks it'll be okay.

Next time, try to get those main branches lower and more horizontal in training. Every grow is a learning opportunity!

  4. Thank you for the kind words ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1449720413.930642.jpg

  5. Id definitely use a screen or mesh to flatten out that canopy and get the most from those lower branches.

  6. So I am one week into flowering. Can I still SCROG?

And how do you suggest going about that in a space like my closet? Cause I don't see where I could put the screen. At all....

  7. 3/4" PVC..make a square just a little smaller than ur space. I use screws and string spaced 3"..but search this site you'll get a ton of ideas..good luck.

One day shy of two weeks in. What should I do with her?????

  9. Decided against the screen and decided to tie down the stretched branches two weeks into flowering. Looks good to me what do you think? ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1450910214.559677.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1450910232.615615.jpg

Good choice bro. I'm a fan of scrog but wouldn't have scrogged that plant. Too tall for me personally and definetly too far into its life if you're already flowering. Scrog needs to start early once they reach whatever height youre looking for between the container and net

  11. I like what you decided to do there man. Truly a nice looking plant.

  12. Thank you so much! Here she is about 4 weeks into flowering ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1451748176.144846.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1451748236.642521.jpg

  15. Hey thank you for asking!! she is doing pretty good! I had a minor nutrient overdose that shocked her overall appearance, but I believe her tired leaves are also due to her nearing the end.

Here are some current pictures, let me know what you think! How close do you think I am to harvest? 6 weeks and one day in.
