  2. Be careful of that Roots Organics 707 soil. I've seen lots of posts by people who have used it to start out with who say that it's "hot" and they had issues with it burning their plants. Most who use it typically mix some other media in along with it as a buffer up around the seedling until it can get it's roots established....then it gets the 707 as the roots go on down into the pot. You should've started your seeds out in a much smaller container. It's going to take them weeks to get established (because they do all their root work first) and actually start to grow foliage. You're also overwatering in a big way. For a 3 gal. pot and a new seedling, you shouldn't have to water any at all for days and days. If you want healthy plants, you have to maintain defined wet/dry cycles. Keeping the roots sitting around in moisture all the time just causes root rot and if you water that container every 2 or 3 days, you're well on your way..
Next time, start them in a Solo cup since keeping the root space confined on a small plant speeds up the whole growing process. The more space they have to get rooted into, the longer it's going to take for them to get it done. Anyway, start them in cups and leave them in the cups until they have grown as tall and as wide as the cup itself....and slightly root bound is nice, before you transplant into a 1 gal. pot. Do the same thing with the one gal. pot and then transplant up to the 3 gal. It'll all happen faster if you do it that way.
Some people use the "lift test" to tell if their plants need watering and that works pretty well until you get into the larger containers and then it can be tricky. I bought a moisture probe since I flower in 5 gal. buckets and it can be deceiving at times just how much moisture is deep down in that soil. But it's mega important that you let that container get dry enough between watering and feeding.
Another big deal is to adjust any liquids going into your plants to the correct pH range.....6.3 to 6.7 for soil grows. If you keep the pH of the liquids going in correct, you generally don't have to worry about the pH of the runoff, etc. The soil you're using was pH balanced at 7...which is neutral for soil. Get yourself a reliable pH tester and not one of those super cheap ones on Amazon or Ebay. pH is vital to the health of your plants so you need something you know will work. Not managing the pH of the liquids will cause root lockup and your plants will not be able to take in nutrition.
You won't need any nutes for WEEKS...so don't go adding stuff when that little seedling just sits there for days. Water is all that goes in until the plant has had enough time to use up the nutrients that came in the soil....and with the 707, it's apparently loaded up with slow release fertilizers, so you don't have to worry about any of that for awhile. When the plant has used up what's in the soil, you'll start seeing discoloration on the leaves, etc. You'll eventually get to the point where you'll be able to read the plant as it tells you what is wrong.
It just takes time and effort. Read up on the process to get a good idea of how to do it correctly. This will make your grow more fun than stress. Information is definitely your friend in this game, so get all you can before you get too deep into it. Good luck! TWW

  3. 707 is their outdoor mix no? I use the roots original and some dry fert mixed in and my plants do pretty good in it

Im not using 3 gallons yet they are in 5x5s

    And 707... hot?

Peat Moss, Composted Forest Material, Perlite, Coco Fiber, Pumice, Worm Castings, Bat Guano, Soybean Meal, Fish Bone Meal, Kelp Meal

Roots Organics Formula 707 is a ready-to-use soil created for a special kind of gardener, those who want to control their own destiny. Formula 707 is different from the other growing mixes created by Aurora Innovations. It was designed with greater water-holding capacity, fewer nutrients, less perlite and less pumice, and it contains ingredients specific to large container gardening. In fact, the packaging is a 30-gallon grow bag containing about 20 gallons of the finest quality potting mix. Just punch holes in the bottom, cut off the top and plant.

I thought it was the complete opposite, you would add this stuff to FF soil to bring it down. I've seen people clone straight into half FF and 707 even, yeah a little burnt ( I know who in their right mind would even consider putting anything new, even in a planter NEXT to FF LOL keep that stuff 10FT away from seeds) I've always started from seed with 707 when i do soil and I havent had any problems, I even threw in 1 tsp of the root by rx green for the 2 gallons I mixed a week before planting to be sure there was extra available for the seed, I even mixed a light buddha grow (1ml per gal ratio, only a light misting on the soil) (maybe just the strains) my seedlings currently love it, it being organic and all needing to be broken down first is a nice buffer for not burning. I'm holding off on the other nutes for a while tho ( I learned my first run lol). I will be mixing in more perlite when I transplant into 3 gal Smart Pots (hence the outdoor soil)

during flower I will be brewing the guano into tea with microbes + molasses first then adding nutrients to that. I always tend to go less is more on the feeding on wednesdays and water on mon / fri. 15% runoff always.

THANKS for reminding me about soil PH I forgot com-pletely, as you can tell by my PH preference Ive been operating hydro before this lol. I've got the meters, my water coming out of my tap is 7.7 though. we live right near the treatment plant (EEK!), but we switch to a different water source in winter so I wont have to worry about R/O till a later run. ill be focusing on 6.5 from here on out.

  8. so the Purple kush is doing fine, Im getting a little leaf curl and jaggedness on the WC. Both the same ph, both on same schedule. That 10% extra sativa gonna be that much of a bitch eh? BRING IT ON

  9. So I wasnt evaporating and I think its dropping the ph in the soil, my runoff was at 4 when i checked last, I ph'd some distilled water and flushed it as well as put it in a smart pot with more soil and perlite.
white cookies iis stressed but purple kush seems to be handling it better.

Its day 19 for the four. 26 for the LST purple kush
Finally got the PH situation under control, but not before white cookies was taken by the dark side and I had to [IMG] regulate.
    purple kush almost unaffected though!

I have them mainlining, and they are vegging very rapidly.

  12. okay so the plants are recovering from a cal-mag deficiency but for the most part they are eating their nutes just fine now.
the plants are all topped completely and the mains are just now getting established.

its day 37 and tomorrow I will be setting up my 600W cool tube and soon after I will be transplanting them into 5 gallon smart pots, this time I amended the soil with dolomite and 40% more perlite, my runoff of my ph likes to jump down to 5 sometimes and locks up my cal-mag, so now I'm taking care of it for the rest of the grow.
    Pics tomorrow

  13. Things are coming along nicely now :)
They have since been transplanted into 5 gallon pots , minus one purple kush.

I too am growing white cookies (far left)from crop king, as well as 3 early miss autos (far right) and 2 early vixen ( 2 blue cups stacked on top of 2 red). As well as 2 clones from some random bagseed I have flowering. Check it! Cheers!!! View attachment 1950078

  18. Thanks!
I've noticed there are a couple phenos of the WC one is an indica heavy and one is a ww heavy one, the WW heavy one is really picky, basically hates water ive noticed so run it drier than others.

  19. Yea I've been wanting to get me some white cookies my self to pop out along with the gorilla glue
