Started my first grow with a 2.2m tent with a 600w HPS. Got a 5inch fan for air in and 6 inch for hot air out. I have one small fan blowing above my plants and one under for airflow I leave the fans running 24/7. Getting hot inside 27-35 C and low humidity 30-45% Medium is coco using canna a+b Feeding flood and drain system Plants being fed for 1 Min every 6 hours. Is that good for feeding times? I've heard it's good to have high temps with low humidity is this true? Leaves are curling up a little moved light further away new leaves aren't so curled up Here's some pictures 2 weeks in veg Any advice would be great. P.s I'm in Australia
Is this normal? The bottom of my stems look like there being strangled or something... Also the top of my coco is green?
Sadly the baby in the photo gave way today. Whatever ate my stem done a good job on it. Got one left and a little bit of the stem being chewed on that one too
I've had something similar happen, did it fall over? Pretty sure it was mould or fungus my coco was green too, I moved coco away from the stem, staked it up and hit it with diluted horsetail tea (silica)
Good to see another Aussie into it. My set up is similar to yours, I use a 400w with mh and hps and get good results in a smaller tent. Subbed and good luck!
This is called Dampening Off, I had a similar problem using the fast rooting plugs, which I think functions very similarly to coco. I believe its an infection where the plant is barely touching soil and exposed to air, that younger plants are more susceptible to. When this happened for me, I used a Qtip and dabbed peroxide on to the damaged areas 2-3 times a day. Sorry to hear you lost one, hows the other looking?
The one left is going amazing atm. I'll put some pics up when I get home tonight just turned to 12/12 lighting used only canna a+b so far for nutes
Looks like a great even canopy there, cant wait to see them in another week and a half, stretched through the scrog. My RDWC grow has about 5-6 weeks left before harvest, you should check out the link in my signature. I trimmed several pounds of lower nodes and fan leaves off of the 6 plants while they were stretching, might be too much too close D:
Thanx man been keeping her in line thats for sure. I been wondering if I should trim all the undergrowth dont know how far to go with it. Love to see your grow man where can I find it?
I'm still trying to discern that myself haha. I ended up stripping the bottom 1/2 of my 6 plants, and I think I should have done the bottom 3/4. I left what fan leaves I could, and tucked them elsewhere, and mainly stripped the nodes. The way I see it, is that the plant has energy and resources stored in the fan leaves, and that could be beneficial later in flowering. Meanwhile the lower nodes would consume energy & resources that the plant could be using in its top most nodes, for more dense localized big buds (so Im assuming, its only my second grow). I guess though it would be circumstantial, depending both on the genetics and the methods used for training. I hope my colas aren't too close together, and there ended up being more nodes below the canopy than I intended. Here's the link to my current journal 2kW RDWC - 6x Incredible Bulk - Time Lapse
2 weeks into flower. Trimmed everything under the net hopefully it will stretch and have nice buds on top.
Day 38 in flower things are looking good. Over fed her a bit got some burnt tips and looks like she laking some pk
