Kyla's Blue Hash in Happy Frog

Discussion in 'Indoor Grow Journals' started by kyla420, Nov 30, 2015.

  1. I wanted to start a journal to track my progress with this grow but if anyone has any comments or suggestions I'd be happy to hear them!

2X Dinafem Blue Hash feminized photoperiod seeds

Happy frog soil 70% perlite 30%

Starting in little seedling pots but will finish in 5gallon fabric pots

I'll start them in my veg CFL cabinet and then transfer them to my Led flowering cabinet when ready.

My veg cabinet currently has 3X 23w 6500k CFLs, I'll add more when the ladies get a few nodes.

Flowering cabinet has 2X300w Galaxyhydro led panels.

    I'll be using

    Fox farm trio

    Golden Tree (when transplanting)

Just finished germinating a couple of Dinafem feminized blue hash seeds. In less than 24hrs the tap roots were an inch long, fastest germination ever!

  2. About 24hrs after planting I came home to find them sticking their heads above the soil, good job little ones!
When I was preparing the soil yesterday I made sure
Not to over saturate the soil with water but maybe I didn't saturate enough because the soil is bone dry.

    1oz Spring water for each

  3. Seedlings are looking good, Now that they're used to being above ground, I moved the light down to 4 inches above and it seems like they're happy with it, maybe a bit closer in a few days.

    2oz spring water for each

  4. I added a book to bring them 3 inches from the lights, sort of ghetto but the plants don't seem to mind.

    2oz spring water each

  6. Really funny how already there are such differences in the plants even though they've been given everything exactly the same!

  8. I transplanted this weekend into bigger pots. The smaller one got a little droopy after transplant but I think it's doing a bit better now.

I used 1/2 tsp golden tree per gallon of Spring water when I mixed the soil. I'll be able to water a bit less often now that they're in bigger pots.

  9. Good luck, im following !

  10. Thanks! It's so much fun to get new genetics! I bought these seeds specifically to grow in the winter because of the blue colors that come out in the cold. I can't wait to see what they look like in flower!

  12. I decided to add another 23w 6500k CFL and bring the lights down to 2.5inches from plant tops.

I'm noticing that the girls are pretty light green. I decided to give a light feeding of nutes with watering today.

4oz water with nutes each at 1tsp/ gal big bloom, 1/2 tsp/gal grow big.

  15. They look perfect so far, good job. You gonna top them?

  16. I usually top them at 5 nodes but without LST it's hard for me to get the side branches to catch up to get an even canopy. I've been doing some research and decided to wait until I have 6 nodes and then top them down to 3-4 nodes depending on how the side branches are looking. Looks like 4-5 nodes right now so in less than a week I should be topping.

  17. Plants are looking good. The bigger one is a little droopy, maybe a little too long in between waterings.

8oz water for each with nutes at 1tsp/gal big bloom and 1/2 tsp/ gal grow big

  18. The girls are doing okay. the little one is really catching up and is really doing very well but for a few days the bigger one has been pretty droopy, maybe it's time to let them stretch their roots a bit into bigger pots. Maybe this weekend.

8oz Spring water with 1/2tsp/gal golden tree each

  19. The golden tree did what I hoped and the bigger picture plant looks much better today. I was planning on topping tomorrow but I want to make sure that it's fully recovered before any more stress. I will probably still repot them this weekend since I think that may have been part of the original problem.

I almost didn't top them this weekend but looking at them today they really seemed ready. They had 6 nodes each and I topped them down to 4.
