So i recently, a few months ago, started smoking. I've come to enjoy it very much. I have 3 pieces so far. I usually go quite a while before cleaning out my bowl. Earlier today i was smoking, and noticed i wasn't getting much smoke out of it. I decided to try to clear my bowl by by blowing on the mouth piece while covering the carb. I noticed part of what is shown in the picture was partially sticking out of the hole inside the chamber. I have been researching recently about properly storing weed, and i have come across molding problems that people have had. After seeing and reading that, i was wondering if this was mold that had formed on weed/resin deep inside the bowl. I have had a chest / nose cold for about 2 days, and am unsure if this is related (although i had been outside for quite sometime in cold weather. This may be the cold issue). If someone with experience could please direct me as to what this is, i would be very appreciative. Thank you IMAGE v (image zoomed in)
I have no idea, is that hair or metal? I have no idea what I am looking at, but it does look really gross.
Looks like steel wool, whatever it is though I certainly wouldn't smoke it and I would make sure you thoroughly clean your piece before burning again.
It looks like a metal screen combined with the smoked weed, I would just get a new one after seeing that mess
Dude , that looks like a wad of dog hairs. Please be more pro when you smoke. Clean your piece more often. Inspect your bud. Your friends will love you for it.
cpean yiur pieces with alcohol (heard water n salt too) by filling it up about half way covering all holes and shaking rapidly and violently as far as that bud chances are its no good as mold spreads fast in the right conditions also spored form in the right conditions...you didnt dry your bud enough before storing it fam.b
Since the last guys post got removed, I'll say it appropriately. It looks like steel wool, and it is commonly used for smoking an unmentionable. It's not harmful but I don't suggest smoking through it. It's basically a filter to stop you from getting little pieces of weed in your mouth. My suggestion is just make sure there's no more in your pipe, then look into getting a glass screen that sits in your bowl
