Howdy my green thumbed bretheren. Special thanks to GimiK and waktoo for really dropping some knowledge and taking time out of their busy schedule. Also thanks to Scooby for inspiration. I am using TLO 2.0 soil from the book by the Rev with the same name. Won't say much more unless people ask specifically and I'm not trying to advertise or say one mix is better than the other, I am usually a book guy and that was simply the first organic book specific to cannabis that I had easy access to. Super soil, 1000 w HPS, CO2 kept at around 7-8 ppm during the lights on. R/O water, 5 gal fabric pot ( I used to go bigger but for my space, I can maximize yields going a bit smaller and feeding more often). I am using ACT intermitantly along with coconut water and sprouted barley SST. I also use a seaweed foliar once a week and a mite killing fungal spray called OG bio war which solved my summer woes. Now I use it as a preventative spray every couple of weeks. Will stop foliar at about week 4 and just do soil drench.

I veg under t5 CFL's from sunsystems and also an MH 400w for a couple weeks and then under the HPS for a week or so before I flip to 12/12.

I also have one crazy little vegger that is a totally anomoly from my last harvest, not sure the genetics, but its weird I welcome any commentary, I'm don't know if it is a mutant or if it's a random seed that somehow got in there. time will tell.

    11/27
watered with coconut with great results on the 11/24 at a rate of 1
tbsp of coconut powder per gallon. Not sure about the SST I brewed, I
waited four days on the second brew with kelp and coconut, but the
taproots never got more than a tiny sliver out. I test watered some
house plants and a rando I got for experiments and such, and they all
seemed pretty stoked on it, but I want to get it absolutely perfect
before I add it to the flowers.

    Aloe tonight.

Just watered some youngsters with an aloe and seaweed mix, they are looking super happy. Used some mosquito bits to control a few visitor gnats, I think they are pretty common in organic set ups, nothing big just a few, but always good to be careful. Mosquito bits are an organic soil borne bacteria that eat the gnat larvae, totally harmless otherwise and totally organic.

Day 3 in flower, sprayed with an aloe foliar spray. Looking pretty good, but might have overdone the amount of aloe I used, going to make a more diluted mix from here on just to be safe. Didn't have any luck with my first attempt at creating a barley SST, going to try again tonight. Thinking about brewing an ACT but I think my soil if good to go, and with the coconut and aloe, I think I am gonna hold off for another week and see how the girls do before hitting with the ACT. Any suggestions are welcome. So far, looking super good.

Well flowers are looking good. I have some 2 row barley SST I am going to test on some of my veggers. I also ordered some FUL power but I am slightly confused because it says humic acid on it not fulvic acid? so that remains a mystery, probly gonna hafta hop over to the good old SST thread to see what's up with that. Aloe as a foliar worked great.

I spotted some mites on one of my mothers a few days ago, and so I employed my triple threat tactics, defoliated, quarantined and organically miticided (I use a natural rotating regiment of assorted oils, acids, herbs, and soap) I have actually not seen mites since summer, but I like to keep it real. Yes I get pests. It's okay, I have gotten pretty kick ass actually at managing pests, but I do hate them with a passion and try to avoid them all together. I think my problem is I began to favor a certain mycological approach because it is so effective, but anyways, as long as I maintain my regimen and switch it up, i dont have probs.

Just to be safe I meticulousy trimmed up everything and sprayed everything with a strong dose of azamax, waited a few days and then hit everything again with citric acid. Tomorrow I am going to do another seaweed and aloe foliar.

My girlfriend named the mystery plant the Gnome. So I call it G-nome, cuz it's got some weird genetics. Maybe p-nome because it's purple? I don't know. She is a little runt, but strange and beautiful, like a little fairy goddess.

In flower I got my co2 set at about 800 ppm. Temps range 70-80 with an average of 76. Trimmed up all under the canopy, and played some classical piano for the girls. I got some more pics of the inner working of my humble little haven. I try to keep it simple (hence the thermometer). R/O, float valve, rubber ducky, C02 regulator and atmosphere control. FYI this Titan model I got is not great, and not very durable. Mine is falling apart. I would advise not getting this model.

I guess that's about all. happy gardening all.

  6. Mystery plant no longer mystery, its lambsquarter. Day 31 in flower, everything is looking super proper, anyone doing organic gardening should pop over to the SST thread, my grow has benefitted greatly from applying the wisdom found there.

  7. Well I removed my pics, because I decided I would rather be paranoid about it I guess. Everything is looking super good. Gonna post a couple of flower pics that have been taken safely, if I can get them to upload. Some of the my strawberry banana looks like it could have used a bit more phosphorus and nitrogen. MY girlscout cookies are looking rediculously delicious along with the half century old legacy genetics I recieved from a long time friend of the family. It appears to be a Durban cross of some kind.

The SST has most definitely decreased time spent flowering as I am currently below the 60 day mark at day 42 and the strawberry banana, the girlscout cookies and the family secret strain are all looking like they could be harvested. I got some afgoo that is just now starting to enter into the final stage of flower, just starting to get their color.

Besides having to crouch down and crawl underneath the scrog in order to water, this one has gone off without a hitch. I have noticed some slight deficiencies in a few plants that I will remedy next time around, but all in all, this has shaped up to be a beautiful grow. I gotta give super mad props to GimiK and TreeDog as well as Waktoo and Scoob. I wish I could send you guys each a nugget to show my appreciation. I am really getting into composting and humus.
I beleive that biostimulants such as SST and aloe and coconut water are incredibly useful and every organic gardener should make use of them. I also believe that AACT's have a beneficial role to play as far as maintaining beneficial microbial populations and providing the plants with supplemental nutrients.

By using a combination of homemade foliar spray recipes, the SST's the coconut water, the aloe and the AACT's, I have expereinced the lushest and healthiest plants I have ever grown without any detrimental pests or molds besides the easily controlled fungus gnat. I fully attribute the health and quality to the soil and the organic practices I have engaged in. As somebody who spent many years as a synthetic grower, I can't stress enough how much better the garden is now that I am organic. Next thing is getting away from my mega-blasting 1000w HPS's currently in use. I am retiring them out for 2 blackdog phytomax 800's and a supplemental super blue 400 MH. I expect another leap in quality after I address the issues in my light spectrum.

  8. looking forward to seeing your results with the black dog 800s. I have a phytomax 1000 headed my way!
