I have a Christmas cactus that's been root bound and neglected for years. I'm wondering what a good medium would be to start clones and repot the mother.
Oh gosh....I'm really great a killing cactus so you probably don't want to hear from me! LOL When in doubt....Google it! LOL TWW
Anything that drains quick like sand or bark and they prefer clay pots, can't remember why but I know its true haha. Here's my lil san pedro. Its in bark chips with a layer of perlite to stop gnats. I water about once a week and it seems to enjoy the leftover nute/water from my plants
Nice! Thanks Capt. What about ph and nute preference? I could Google it but thats like using a flashlight when I need a laser
Haha no worries Google has 20 answers to 1 question so I understand. I have no idea about either honestly. I noticed growth after giving straight flower nutes PHd to 6.5 but there's no science behind it just what I had left after feeding the girls. Didnt notice anything when I used the micro and flower nutes though
Here's the cactus thread. Pretty dead right now but maybe you can bring it back http://forum.grasscity.com/index.php?/topic/1218149-Can-We-Have-A-Cactus/succulent-Thread?
