Thai stick/old school weed

Discussion in 'Seasoned Marijuana Users' started by Zenoe, Nov 3, 2015.

  1. Hi guys/girls

Been smoking now for about 3 years and pretty heavily in the last year. Money is short atm and can get my hands on some Thai Stick 60/70s style weed. Price is about £25/Q oz as appose to 50-60 for skunk. Can anyone describe the difference, I know its not as strong but taste, quality of smoke etc.

    Thanks in advance

  2. If it is really old style Thai stick, you will enjoy it as much, if not more then the skunk.
    :smoke:

  3. I've been smoking weed since the mid 1960s and Thai Stick is still, to this day, 1 of the most potent types I've smoked. The high is very mind-numbing, a million laughs, and a little bit went a long way. I heard there was some garbage being passed-off as Thai Stick, with a real beefy amount of buds tied to a stick.
The 1960s Thai Sticks were very small nugget buds that cost $10 even back when a 4-finger lid of Michoacan or Oaxacan (when Mexican weed was still very potent) was only $10-$15. So if you have some huge, beefy budded Stick, that's not the original Thai Stick. Should be tight little nugs entwined with a hemp strand around a small stem. This was back when 'domestic' weed was considered trash. Funny how times change.

  4. Dibs on seeds if you find any in it

  5. thanks for the responces, it does sound good but whats the reason for the drastically cheaper price?

  6. No idea. Ive heard its a very psychedelic high. Post some pics if you do buy it please

  7. 25 dollars for a quarter ounce sounds like some dirty ass weed to me...

  8. $25 isn't the same as £25. £25 = around $40.

I think it was more in comparison to the skunk. £50-60 is around ~$110. That's a huge difference

  10. You mean that stuff that's tied to a stick?

  11. The Thai stick that's tied to a stick

  12. This one is on my bucket list of weed to try. I've read about it, I've seen it online, but just can't find any.

Thai stick from back then were great. Literally every Thai stick that I got after 1976 sucked balls. All bullshit bunk weed full of seed tied to a piece of bamboo. So don't expect much.
Unless there is some kind of a landrace cannabis Renaissance going on in Thailand right now, that buds been smoked a long time ago.

  14. My uncle in Texas still grows this! It's definitely one of the things I wanna try in the near future... But for now... Banana of kush!

  15. Live in Thailand and can confirm that there is a plenty, but I have never in the 10 years here seen a bud tied to a stick. Almost all weed is brick. Brown, tied with various colored strings (red some say is best) in 40g cakes for roughly 28usd. I have always wanted to know why the color / smell / taste so different? Process, breed, what have you... Fermentation seems legit tho, have to learn more. Ps. Just smoked a Thai j. Hence the writing. Should be interesting once this wares of. Peace!
