Can helicopters find just a small amount of plants?

  1. I have never grown before but I am wanting to once the warmer weather comes back. Can helicopters still find just a few plants from the air? I am looking to grow no more than 10 plants but not all in 1 spot. I would have a few here and there. I also live in NC so do helicopters fly a lot where I live looking for plants?

  2. If they are spread out then probably not, but they are trained to see groups of plants. Best best would be to grow inside if you can, or find some spots in the woods that get good sunlight and plant there.

  3. Start small...like 1 or 2. If you've never grown than you will surely be overwhelmed with a bunch of plants. 1 plant can get ENORMOUS.

  4. your on the right track with the research and yes start small like 3 plants is perfect be sure to plant them were underbrush and other greenery kinda match to camouflage mix your nutes and water in milk jug and always take a diff route so u dont make noticeable trails to your girls from the air your trails could turn out looking like highways and they all lead to one spot your girls best of luck

  5. Be sure to remember that vegetation that is green when youre planting may not be green while your plant still is. Know the vegetation in your area and use terrain and foliage to your advantage.

If its in a wooded area, and was easy for you to find the spot - assume it could be easy for someone else to do the same.

  6. Are you by the marine base doubt they're poking for plants

  7. Spread them 30 or so yards apart you will be fine I would be more concerned with foot traffic

    Happy growing

  10. Don't know how it is in NC, but I am in central Alabama and for the past two years, they've not even flown here. For years and years they flew heavily and yes, they can pick up the "heat signature" of even a single plant. However, the norm seems to be that they won't go to all the trouble of actually coming in and taking your crop if it's not large enough for them to do it. We've grown every year outside for many now. For several years, I grew plants right alongside my veggies in the garden. Never more than 3 or 4 together in any one place mind you, but on our 25 acres, I probably would have 15 to 20. They never came after me. Money has become an issue for these small little towns and I think that has a lot to do with why the search and seizure operations have backed off so much; that combined with the up tick in heroin use and overdoses in our area, which have basically consumed the police departments in the state recently. They SHOULD be going after heroin and those who peddle it and leave us plant lovers alone. Goodness knows we've never grown or consumed anything that would take anyone's life.

As long as you are discrete about where you put it, you run a far greater risk of someone dropping by and stealing it from you than you do from being raided by the cops. Listen to me when I tell you to not even tell you MOTHER where it is...assuming your mother uses the stuff (LOL). But seriously, you can't trust anybody these days and you really don't want to go to the time, trouble and expense of growing only to have it ripped from your very hands before you ever get to try any of it. Get it grown and cured and then share it with whomever you want but keep the garden a secret!!

Put the time in to learn how to do it the right way. If you don't, you'll be on here every 3 to 4 days asking dumb questions that you could've answered yourself had you only taken the time to read and get some direction BEFORE you start....assuming you're a newbie to growing and don't have much experience. If this is the case, you'll be glad to know that absolutely everything you might need to know is already logged here many times over in the new grower threads. If you're going to grow these plants in containers, you need to get some directions on how to do it if you've never done it before. Good luck! Hope all goes well for you and you end up with some seriously large buds at the end of the year. TWW

  11. Around Minnesota I've heard that they look for a bunch of passed out deer and then they get a ground team to search the area. If you can hide it by some trees and keep any animals away I don't think there'd be a big problem as long as it's somewhat small (1-5 plants)

  12. It happened in my town not too long ago. The local police team up with the DEA and they fly around in helicopters looking for plants. Obama is the one telling the DEA to do this btw.

  13. The dea dont care unless you have 100^ sounds more like a joint op between local and state task forces

  14. Yes. It happened in my town.

NASA can get a HD picture of you from space. So a helicopter can definately see some crops from a few thousand feet

  15. They fly low a few hundred feet and use spotters but it was more then likely local Leos and state leos unless there was fields of 100^
Of course they can see them that's what they trained for although you can make them really really hard to spot but if they were a couple thousand feed they would just see terrain
