65 here too. I agree, having some historical perspective -- beyond 10 or 20 years -- gives you something to compare today to and a much clearer picture of what's going on. Unfortunately, there is no way of getting that perspective except by living it.

If I lived in the U.S. at the moment, I would concur. But I spent a large amount of time in Germany, where they didn't care if you were 18 to go in to a bar, and now I've spent the past year in Thailand, where people start drinking at like 13, and never get questioned about it.


But when I go back, one of my first stops is a gas station so I can buy a twelve pack. lOl
