First grow, first lst. Purple Trainwreck feminized. Thoughts appreciated.

  1. Hi everyone. So I'm obviously new and this is my first of four plants I have growing right now.

This is my lady Patricia. She is a Purple Trainwreck started on September 1. She is about five weeks old. She is in Coco perlite mix with fox nutes and water, alternating, and ph'ed. Cfls.

I'm trying to do a very basic lst with her. Just some simple side pulling and maybe trimming. But that's all.

This thread is more for me for my thoughts and progress, but also in case I have questions or need some help from this wonderful community.

Pic 1 is her a week old.
Pic 2 is the 9th of October, 5 weeks
    Pic 3 is yesterday
    Pic 4 is today

Sorry, I don't know how to post pics inline from my phone app.

What do you guys think? Please, constructive criticism, no bashing. Thank you.

  2. Today at 1030. Oct 11.
Let's see how long till she turns up again. Almost to the edge of the pot. :)

  3. Starting curling up already.
Leaving apex cola another day or two for length.
Pinned back some fan leaves to allow other nodes more light.
Just a little water by the perimeter.
    Check her tomorrow.

  4. Looking good so far 😆

  5. Thanks! She is getting bushy

  6. This morning. 10-12-15
    Definite growth.
Top cola almost back inline with some "side" colas.
Just gonna leave her leafs alone today. Only pot shifting for light exposure.
    Here are this morning pics.

  8. Morning porn. Patricia is doing great, she had great growth overnight. Doing some more tying down this afternoon.

Note: I forgot to leave the night fan on and humidity shot to 98%. Could this have affected growth in a positive or negative manner? Growth is very noticeable, so if it stunted, I could only imagine if the fan was on. Just rambling thoughts after my wake n bake. :)

I still don't know how to put pictures inside the body of these threads from my phone. So...they're all at the end. So annoying.

Pic 1 and 2 are before
Pic 3 and 4 are after.

  10. This is actually Wednesday's(yesterday) thread.

    10-14-15
Pic 1 and 2 are Wednesday morning
Pic 3, 4, and 5 are after some Lst spreading her out in the afternoon.
Pic 6, in her veg tent with her sisters.

You can see how much I opened her stalk area to promote light penetration into the underside.
I readjusted the lights after this post, I just had them up and out of the way.
I'm noticing the shoots intertwining as they came up from under, so I did my best to send them outwards in different directions.

Picked off a few leaves, not much. Mostly dying ones from nute underfeeding. Figured that out. :)

I'm thinking of pulling a clone or two from her, but with the holidays soon, I might not be able to upkeep.

Maybe I'll attempt a reveg if she shapes well. I'm new, so I dunno.

We have noticeable growth. Much less of the main stem showing and she has perked up! :)

I'm leaving her all day today, only rotation every few hours.

  12. TGIF!! 9am, 10-16-15

    Looking good this morning.
They are stretching up again, so I will tie them down some more.
She is a little thirsty, I'll give her a half n half now and work on her later.
    :)

  13. Saturday morning.

    Patricia looking nice and full.

Still no leaf trimming except an accident or two.

Didn't get to do much yesterday and probably not nothing till tonight neither. Might be for the better to let her stretch out a little before I tie some more.

She did manage to pull one of her stakes down!!
Strong plant or lack of readjusting for a full day? Hmm...

Pic 1 and 2 are just front and back
Pic 3 is the cola that pulled the stake out of the ground. :)

Haven't done anything for two days except turn her.

Going to give her maybe another week total before I pick a few clippings for clone. :)

  15. Ok. Few hours later. Got Patricia pulled back and stretched out again. ;)

Give her another few days with just turning and light adjustment.

    Pic 1 is begin
    Pic 2 is half way
Pic 3 Patty is opened up
Pic 4 shows she is only 4 inches tall at stalk bend
Pic 5 is an aerial shot with my six inch ruler. ;)
Pic 6 is her back in veg stall with her sisters

Trying to pull those nodes outward.
    Patience.

    Mon before and after

Keeping her low still. Main stalk only at 4inches.

It's great to watch this plant branch outwards like this so easily. I'm learning about the leaves and branches and their characteristics, such as how they bend towards light, how much pull I have and push I can do, etc.

Probably another week before topping and prepping official cola count. Then a week or so of recovery then the flip.

I'm hoping no taller than 6" upon the light switch. It'll be close, me believes. Maybe seven. Eh.

  17. Tuesday November 3
    Doing fine.
    Pic 1 + 2 are before
pic 3 + 4 show she is wet. Full flush with ph'ed water.
    Pic 5 + 6 show after
    Pic 7 top view

Flushed her since I'll be hopefully switching light schedule next week. Gonna let her dry out completely before nutes for flower get added in.
    Still very short.
Most nodes reached the edge, so I topped a few.
Next weekend, prune for final cola count. And hopefully keep it going.
    Noob.

    Still keeping her very low.
    Growing outwards well.
Pic one and two are before
Got interrupted, so no after pictures.
Waiting on the new tent to switch over this one and two others to 12/12.

    :)

  19. Saturday November 28

Second tent finally arrived this week, but with the holiday...

Had built scrog this week out of pvc and 550 paracod.

Removed all the ties holding her to the smartpot and placed her under the screen.
Second plant is a random bagseed I've done since lst to as well.
The plant on the right in both pics is Patty, the purple Trainwreck.
I'll give some more pics of her later.
