  2. Thanks for the inspiration, I recently built my cab panels using 8 pc fans, 2 can speed controllers, some plywood and a single 3A 12V power supply. I also put in two carbon scrubbers similar to the above design.

I pulled my fan speed controllers apart and carefully crushed the LEDs so they can stay on all the time with our stressing my plants. But in hindsight I did not need the fan speed controller as I run them flat out anyway.

I ended up going with 4 fans each side with the top and bottom running as exhaust and the centre two blowing into my plants.

I did my filters a little different but it meant I had to mount them then fill them so when I do two more for the two top exhaust fans I will need to make them differently as I will not be able to fill them in situ.

Feel free to ask any questions.

  5. Thanks mate, hopefully it will last me a long time! I've got about AUD$300 in it so far which is the price of an ounce down here so I'm hoping it will pay for itself before the year is out.

Just some cheap carbon for now, for a fish tank from the local pet store. So far two is enough to kill the smell from my 5 plants until I open the door...

I need to get more carbon, I used it all up doing the bottom two scrubbers.

  7. How many plants are you able to grow secretly with this system? Are three of these things able to conceal the odor of one plant?

  19. Well done. I like the idea a lot. I have seen the version with the 2nd, stripped fan as the carbon reservoir.
