1. Hi,
This is my first attempt at maintaining a grow journal. I'm old school, am not a computer ace, but I'll try. I just completed a move from 1 partitioned room to a new 2 room set-up. The Veg room is 7' x 8' with a grow area of 25 Sq. feet. It is lighted by 7 - 60W CFLs on one end for new clones and seedlings. This is followed by a 400W MH and a 400W HPS. My aerocloner is also in this room. The Flowering room is 7' x 10' with a growing area of 35 Sq. feet. It has one 400W HPS and two 600W HPS. Each room is vented by a 780 cfm in-line fan. I use RO water and Advanced Nutrients line of 'nutes. Switched from soil to Coco coir when I moved into the new digs. Will NOT miss getting rid of the used soil! Am currently growing Pure Gooey, B C God Bud, Northern Lights #5 and White Widow. I have been growing for 20 years now, but still learn something almost every day. I run a perpetual harvest set-up with 2 plants in/out each week. Cut my clones from plants in Veg. room and do not keep any mother plants. I use super cropping to increase yields. Been averaging 2 - 3 oz. per plant. I am going to increase Veg. times to have bigger plants at the switch. I find having a HPS in my Veg. room seems to reduce the amount of stretch after the flip. I use Smart pots in 3, 5 and 10 gal. with a 50/50 mix of Coco and Perlite. Am really liking growing in Coco so far, it drains very well. Right now, my plants are about as healthy as I've ever had. Grow as a hobby, keeping my friends and family in good smoke. Will be posting pictures later today. I will try hard to keep this journal up to date. I find growing to be very interesting and I know you one NEVER know everything about it. Well, I've been typing now for almost an hour and I am getting kinda stressed out. I'm going to have to roll one and rest up a little (I'm 57!). Best of luck in all your grows, Phezisica (Go Vikings!)

  3. Oh, man! It's definitely exciting to have all that extra space to work with/in, isn't it? How long do you veg out your clones before you put them into flower?

  4. Hey,
I AM enjoying the extra room. The flower room used to be partition and made up both rooms. I am growing my plants out more now and I find I'm using up the extra space. As far as how long I Veg., it depends on what I want and the strain. I don't really keep track, I just grow 'em and when they look big enough I flip 'em. The new room allows me to grow them out longer, you have to keep them coming with perpetual harvest. Right now, the White Widow and NL #5 are just seedlings. Got a couple more strains to try. Just coming in to my favorite time to grow, which is any time besides Summer. I have easier time controlling temps., humidity, etc. Good growing, Phezisica

    Flower room

I thought I had all the room I would ever need, but it's sad to say I'm already over capacity. I switched from soil to coco and from GH 'nutes to AN 'nutes. Built the new room so I could veg. my plants longer and increase my yield. I'm not sure what exactly caused it but I had a large increase in both size and quantity of buds. To say I'm happy with the set up would be an understatement. I added 2 - 600W HPS in flower and put 1 of my 400W HPS in the Veg. room along with a 400W MH and 7 - 60W CFLs. Everything is growing as good as I've ever had it. I have fan leaves 7" across! I have to lower my new table in the flower room 10"! Guess I didn't plan that very well, LOL. I'm really liking the Coco Coir and Perlite blend. I'm waiting for some 7 gal. Smart pots to get here and will have to flower in Veg. pots (1 1/2 gal.) until they do.
My last 3 soil plants yielded a little under a QP ea. and the next harvest is going to be much larger. I've grown BC God Bud for years as a secondary plant because I thought it was a small yielder. After Veg. for 2 weeks longer, they are a very good yielder. The taste and smell are top shelf and it is very potent. Will be increasing the amount of God Bud plants. I must have hit something right, as every aspect is doing well (knock on wood). It sure is more fun when things go right! I have some pictures to post. Phezisica

  6. Shutting down for lack of interest.

  7. i hope you keep it going. How is it growing the BC God Bud, I've been looking into that strain and want to maybe order some seeds. All in all awesome set up I wish I could do perpetual.

  8. Hey, thanks for looking. I thought when I built the new room that I would have wide open spaces. What a dreamer! All the new space has been used and then some. I had to cut 10" off the legs on the table in flower last night. Needed more vertical room. I was not quite prepared for the rapid growth when I switched to coco. Right now, I am going to have to destroy 4 - 22" plants that I simply don't have room for. 14 plants in flower now. Won't have space for a minimum of 4 weeks. I am going to have to re-think my work flow. Probably go with less but bigger plants. It is a nice "problem" to have. I made many changes when I switched to coco and my plants have never looked better. I'm thinking of moving only 1 large plant in/out each week. My smart pots have arrived and I will be integrating them in soon. The God Bud is quite easy to grow and it VERY potent and good tasting. It is a nute hog and can handle about anything you throw at it. I recommend it highly. I got a private message from the guy who bred the Gooey line of genetics. He is like a God on Breedbay. He does not sell seed, just gives it out in return for grow reports. I've been after him for a while because I really like the Gooey and would like to get more strains. Anyway, he PM'd me last week and said he is going to "load me up"! I could not be more pumped! This guy's stuff is legendary. I'll keep you up to date on the new strains. They should be here soon. Best of luck on everything. Phezisica

  9. Oh man that is crazy! I would love to someday get that as well. Definitely sucks you had to cut down but its crazy how much changes when you flip to flower its like everyday is entirely different from the next. oh well, at least you know how these strains grow so next time you'll have it perfected. That was like me after my first grow with my goji OG strain and seeing how much it stretched, definitely filled my scrog too much haha.

  10. I've actually been growing these strains about 2 years now. The difference I'm talking about is the speed of growth with coco compared to soil. I was not expecting quite as much increase in growth as I have experienced. Need to reconfigure the flow the through rooms. I think I'm going to veg. my plants longer and flip to flower at a larger size. That way I won't need to work so hard at keeping up with clones. Will only have room for 10 or so large plants in flower. Going to try 1 large plant in and out every 10 days as opposed to 3 in/out every 10 days. Got to keep trying new things. Will most likely be a little slow with updates the next 2 weeks. The rut will be peaking in about 10 days +/- and I will be bowhunting for trophy whitetails as much as I can stand to be in a tree. This is the most important 2 weeks of the whole year, IMHO! I love cannabis, but it must take a distant second place when it comes to bowhunting. I wait all year for this. Best of luck in your grows, Phezisica

  11. Nice set up man!! Real nice! I like the looks of that Gooey man looks incredible. Hope to see more. This place used to be hopping I really just like checking out other peoples stuff and new strains of coarse to see if it is something I want.

  12. Sorry I've been gone so long. LOTS of things happening in my life right now! I started some new strains and they are looking great. Will be posting pictures as soon as I find my camera (smoke ANOTHER joint!). Got some things to attend to today, so I've got to go now. Best of luck in your grows! Phezisica SKOL! VIKINGS!
