Do I need the humidity dome or not?

  1. Sup tokers. Got a few questions about germination via rockwool and humidity domes. I plan on popping seeds in paper towels, then in to cubes. Then into my humidity dome/incubator. My question is....do I even need to put the top on the dome? How much light and at what distance from the dome should a 150w HPS fixture be? Do I need light at all before I see a seedling? I'm in a pretty humid climate already although I will be growing inside a climate controlled house. I'm hearing allot of varying opinions about rockwool incubator germination. Some guys don't seem to use any light or a lid on the dome. Some guys keep t5's on the seedlings 24/7. I'm ultimately going to be growing in DWC with AN nutes and a scrog screed with a 150 HPS light. I'll transfer the block and seedling to the bucket when I see a tap root. I'm just not too sure about the process before that.

  2. Mate I've been told to keep the seeds in the dark and warm. It can take up 10 days to germinate.
