Help...I need advice on a simple but effective way to make the Mrs some edibles

    Can anyone help me choose how to treat my Mrs to some good edibles?
    I've just chopped an auto cheese and have bubble bags and equipment to make hash.
    The problem is that smoking don't agree with her and as she puts up with a lot with me and my plants so I figure edibles are worth a try.

    Please check out BadKats Canna pharm. I think it's the third pinned thread in this edibles section. She has some great recipes using hash and kief. I don't have any experience with cooking with hash. I have cooked with kief. A really easy recipe is to decarb the hash (decarb temps are hard to figure out- I'd decarb at 240 for 40 minutes), then mix with melted chocolate. I buy the melting wafers meant to make candy with, but I think any chocolate would do. Either just pour into patties on parchment paper, or pour into individual cupcake pans- bought a little candy mold and some of those chocolate desert cups that are empty to be filled with hashy chocolate (both from walmart). Keep track of how much hash you use and how much chocolate, or just figure out how much hash is in each candy when you're finished by counting the candy and dividing hash by # of pieces (hope I don't have that backwards). Five grams of hash made into 25 candies would make 0.2 grams per candy. It's really nice of you to think of the Mrs.. Just start slow. Good luck, keep us posted, please.

    Does chocolate contain enough fat / oil by itself to make the hash bioavailable?

    With a decarb on my kief the chocolate did fine. That's a good question. Let's see what others think.

    While you're at it check out PSams's "Another Tincture thread". The tinctures are a very nice medium and are very easy to use in multiple ways.

    Thx for taking the time to get back to me. It looks like I'm gonna be doing something 2moz.
    I've spent 2day figuring out how to make hash. I got the bags the wrong way round 1st attempt (typically )lol but have managed to collect some.
    I'll include a pic of the hash and the buds I've selected .
    I've also ordered stuff like nuttella peanut butter and reg butter and am planning on decarbing 2moz wen kids r at school.
    If this goes well I've got plenty more bud to use for edibles and I'm also gonna figure how to vape my bud and see how she likes it..
    I'll let you know how fings go..

    HJ is 100% correct. With a tincture you can take more or less dependent on symptom relief.

    I should have given you that answer the first time I posted, but I let my curiosity got the better of me.

    Next time put your hash on some cardboard, helps draw out the moisture so it dries better, cheers brother!

    After reading so many different variations on just the de-carb part I'm just putting 14 grams of finely chopped high grade bud.

    Here's some of the ingredients I've collected I'm thinking of using the brownies mix as it serves 16..

    I've left the foil loose on the top after reading how 1 of u guys kept having problems coz the bud wasn't completely dry...

    It's literally just gone in at 220 for 30mins ...someone stop me if this is wrong..

    If you are worried about the fat content throw in a tablespoon of coconut oil and it will harden up just like the candy. If you use to much though it will not become solid I want to say after 75 degrees. I mix that with my Nutella and it makes some tasty treats.

    Hi and thx 4 your help. ..
    I've just pulled the bud out of the oven after a de-carb. . I'm a Lil concerned 2 see the bud was smoking slightly. . I hope I haven't just burnt all the good stuff.
    I was going to make butter then use butter to make some pr-mixed brownies as I figure 14grams in to 16 servings should be good. . However the brownie packet says to use veg oil not butter does this matter?
    Before I go any further do u think I should stick with your suggestion and use the Nutella?
    It's more about the high than taste/quality of the cake/sweets
    Have already told friends I'm making these I really don't wanna disappoint anyone

    Unfortunately I've no coconut oil only olive oil.
    Can I replace the butter with olive oil. .If I did this and left it over a pan of water an followed the same steps as when making butter wouldn't this work?

    Anyone.....? : I've got the stove and water boiling ready..
    Which way should I go lol

    Ok so far I've put my bud in 40ml olive oil and water in a bowl over boiling water 1441370346513.jpg
    I've forgotten to get something to strain it with so I'm gonna try using a bubble bag
    But 1st I'm going to let this sit for at least an hour

    Unfortunately the glass bowl I was using was made for use in the oven and was to thick to allow the mix to get hot enough so I kept giving it a few secs on a low setting in the microwave just enough to agitate the mix but not boil..
    From there I've had to pour it into a flask coz the kids are coming in from school and it would be hard explaining why they can't have brownies .
    I will continue l8r once the brats are in bed....

    Looking good bro! I'm sure it will work just fine, if not you can always try again. So long as you decarbed worked honestly you can just eat the buds and have some effect, can't wait to hear the final results. Cheers

    Also to avoid using the microwave you can infuse the oil in the oven on a low tempature, if I remember correctly I put it on 240 for an hour or so and worked just fine for my batch cheers

    Atm it's sat in a flask to keep it warm an being shaken regular just till its safe to use the kitchen l8r. .
    I've seen people who leave it infusing 24 hours. Would it be worth putting the mix back in the oven for an hour or so?
    Is longer better or is there a risk of me ruining it?
    I tried a Lil smoke of the bud earlier and it was really nice so I don't wanna fuck this up...

    So I've put me mixture In the oven at 240 for another hour and half.
    I'm left with just over the prescribed 40 ml veg oil needed for these packet brownies.
    About 50ml so I'm just gonna add it all.....
