GHG's Sunkissed Backside

  1. It is cheap and it goes a long way. I add it in with my initial mix, then top dress in some more mid August to boost flower. Initial about 1/2 c per cuft then top dress with 1/4 c per cuft. I also then will add some steamed bone meal at 1/8 c cuft and a good dusting to alfalfa meal to get soil life working quick. Even in my non organics I use cal-phos and bone meal combo as my bloom booster. They both break down in acidic soil fairly quick. It is cheapest to buy it by the 50lbs if you have a feed/farm store near you, thats how I get most my supplies anymore, only go to hydro store for my syn nutes and earth juice.

The sun is desperately trying to peek out. The valley below me looks quite foggy though, and it was good and foggy this AM when I woke at 4:30 to check the dehumidifier. That worries me... Fog sounds like a "Canna/No-Go" to me! The weather forecast looks great for the next three days though... and fair for a few days more, beyond that it looks like more and more rain... I'm just starting to get some cute little buds too. This stuff will need to go all the way until the end of Oct, I think. If it makes it, I'm sure it will have been divine, because I simply don't have that kind of luck and I sure don't have the confidence. My last indoor grow was pure hell! It left me with PMPTSD~ [IMG]

In fact the story here is still missing some details...

  3. Interestingly enough, I stopped watering through the top five gallon pot probably a month ago, but these two Northern Lights just keep getting woodier and woodier! Is it good? I have no idea.., never ever seen another this darn big in my life! As for the White Rhinos, I'm still pouring a good bit of water in through the top. The stalks are nothing like the Northerns. Maybe half through the top and half in the bigger pot. On that note: ~I have been watering these babies by hand, daily to the tune of 15 gallons of water, spread between these four ladies out here. And I do it with a bucket and a 500 ML measuring cup. That sounds like love and attention to me! #LaboriousLove...

I told my wife, we should make a little deck table out of these stalks lol!! ~She didn't sound enthused...

  4. Just got done watering the Backyard Beauties!
I thought this was just plant debris from my last trimm session, where I did some gutting out of the middle to get out the underbrush that probably wouldn't have amounted to much... I certainly hadn't noticed it before.

Is this thing a root or a branch? lol!!!
    IMG_8524.JPG
I'm willing to bet that is a tiny root at the base there and that in a short amount of time this thing would have rooted and started a new shoot.

  13. Some sort of eggs man, cut that leaf and toss it away from your girls, I'm not sure what it is but I wouldn't trust it

  14. Yeah, not much there for an omelet! I pull any leaf with any funny business, but this was new. It's the only one of this sort I found...

  15. Look like insect eggs to me.

  16. Looks like a day of rain tomorrow and then 70's and fairly decent after that!!

Despite the fact that I have cut, quite a bit out of the bottom of these plants and thinned them out, they still have a large spread...
