How much hydroton for 6x 5 net pots?

  1. The question is pretty self explanatory. How many liters? Or pounds?

  2. I would think a 10 liter bag would be good.

  3. i have 6 in net pots 8 of them and 20 or so liters fill each one to the top:)

  4. allways keep some extra around...your going to want to pack a little more in as you see fit

  5. Well, you really only need to have it a little higher than the holes in the basket. A good root system and thick stalk will displace some of that area. If you pack em in there, they'll just be spilling out as the plant matures and takes up that space.
Not a problem. Just a pain picking up all them little balls...

    *5" diameter is 12.5cm.
*we divide by 2 to find the radius.
*so it has a radius of 6.25cm.

    *Ï€ x 6.25 x 6.25 = 123
*So it will have a surface area of 123cm2.

*We multiply this by the height to find the volume. (Ill guess and say 12cm).
    *123x12 =1476

    *So that is 1476cm3.
    *Or 1.476 litres (1cm3 = 1ml)

*We round this up to 1.5 litres each.
*This multiply by the 6 pots equals 9 litres
