Best MMJ strains for migraines/headaches

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by sidmigraine, Aug 12, 2015.

  1. I have had a chronic daily headache/migraine for 28 months. It's as awful as it sounds. I'll spare you the details of my nightmare journey..

Anyway, looking for strains that are the best for migraines. I just started vaping AC/DC, the high CBD, little to no THC strain. So far it helps.. meaning for an hour or two my headache lessens by 25% or so (more than any other med does). But it doesn't last long enough, and it doesn't help the headache as much as I would like. It is a very good pain killing strain tho.

Has anyone had success with certain strains for their migraines? So far I've heard of ACDC and Charlotte's Web (it is essentially the same strain.) I've also heard about Blueberry Headband and some others. I am looking for little to no psychoactive effects (horrible anxiety, heart race and BP issues).

Leafly has some useful information but I want to hear about personal experiences. Btw I live in LA with a medical card.

  2. I am going to apply to synergy CBD (google it) since most of the strains I want are not near me.

    My options for flowers are:

Valentine X, Harlequin, Cannatonic, Omrita RX, Sour Tsunami, Canna Sue, Harle Sue & Swiss Gold.

    Opinions?

I am so sorry, Sid, I do feel your pain, literally since, I have had a migraine/ headache since April of 2012 (43 months). Mine is attributed to fibromyalgia. I have tried Cannatonic (tincture, canna butter, vape) and Pre 98 (vape) . I make my own tincture and capsules but they only help with body pain, muscle spasms, and relaxation. I haven't found a strain, pill, or drug yet that takes away my headache pain. After reading your post I'm going to run to get some ACDC. How do you take yours? I would love to talk to you. I have a blog that talks about my experience with this headache...pun intended! Please checkout my blog it's called Fibromyalgia...the other F word for people who want to laugh at a difficult situation http://fibrotheotherf.blogspot.com
By the way, I live I Colorado with a medical card.
