Oil candles for Hemp Wick?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by OG Lemmiwinks, Jul 3, 2015.

  1. I just bought a friggin 200 foot hemp wick, and I think it's pretty good. But what I noticed is that it's tedious to light the wick with the lighter every time you take a hit. So I was thinking if it's a good idea to use an oil candle (something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Refillable-Unscented-Tealigh...). Anybody else think about doing this?
BTW, I was thinking of oil candle over wax candle because wax candles run out faster and I don't like the smell.

  2. you're not the first person to think about using a candle with hempwick... lol

  3. Any type of candle works perfect. Heck I even make candles using my hempwick.

  4. i know, but I'm just concerned that oil candles might be dangerous.

Once you did light the hemp wick it shouldn't it only be the hemp wick that is burning no ? That's the point of using hemp wick instead of a lighter I think.

  6. it takes a second for the wick to take flame. So if it was held in the smoke then I could see soot being on it. but also seeing being burnt off by the time you hit the bowl
